Peace & Quiet
Publié le 18 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayLin Cottage was perfect, views of the sea, bird life and walks right at our door step.
The cottage had everything you need to feel at home and unwind and relax, every need has been covered. Nice linen supplied and a well equipped kitchen, whilst everything was spotless.
Our favourite place was on the deck watching all the wildlife. Would stay here again for sure highly recommended.

Paradise

This was a perfect escape to reconnect with myself whilst seeing a beautiful friend.Loved every moment of it!

Perfect place to unwind and relax
Publié le 26 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful earthy cottage full of charm and tranquility. Bushland environment put us close to wildlife and birdlife, walking trails to beaches & lookouts. Not overlooking other houses or tourists, which was great. Beautiful views, had breakfast on the porch every morning, whilst admiring the bird life. Very well appointed accomodation, spa bath was a welcome pleasure for relaxation, the most comfortable, firm mattress i have ever slept on. A delight to be here, we will be returning.

A tranquil oasis
Publié le 4 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayA delightfully cozy cottage overlooking Devlin inlet and nestled in beautiful gardens. All of the comforts provided. A spa, a fully contained kitchen in a clean, fresh and tastefully furnished home.
The owners were lovely and friendly and we had the utmost privacy to relax and recuperate from Melbourne.

Secluded quiet cottage
Publié le 27 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cottage itself was clean, tidy and had everything you'd require, like kitchen, small dining setting , comfortable lounge with TV. The bedroom had a combined spa and shower and separate toilet. The bird life and other wildlife was lovely.
The key to enter was in a secure box and I had trouble getting the key out, I was successful after my 6th attempt. There's no complimentary coffee, tea or sugar so make sure you purchase the shopping before you arrive. I wasn't impressed with a half used bottle of off curled milk left in the fridge. The bedroom had clean sheets but I would advise to bring your own pillows as their pillows were hard the lay on. We had booked for 7 nights however we left a day early due to the fact there was nothing to do there. There are 2 grocery shops to buy food and plenty of places to buy alcohol but no place to buy new clothes. The time we were there, it was cold, wet and strong winds so we had no place to buy jackets. If the weather is nice you can fish or go for walks, maybe even canoeing but that's about it . If you want a quiet place to holiday well Mallacoota is for you. Sadly our stay wasn't that entertaining but you could mainly blame it on the weather. Oh yes if you are looking for a Chinese restaurant, go to Lucy's, best Chinese ever.
Sadly our experience staying at Mallacoota wasn't our best time so we will not return.

Thank you Terry for your review. The review seems to be as much about Mallacoota in general as it is about the property. I will note that Mallacoota is know for it's remoteness, lake system, beaches and bush walks. At the time of your visit, the entire of East Gippsland and Far South Coast of NSW was experiencing excessive rainfall - which is well beyond our control. We also had a number of shops open during this time - especially in the lead up to Christmas - that offer various types of clothing (including jumpers/jackets).
I am sorry that you found the lock box difficult to access - a phone call to the mobile number provided could have simplified this for you. I am also sorry for the milk left in the fridge, this is very unusual and out of character for the cleaner to have left this behind.
It is a shame that you have given the property a two star review when it seems majority of the issues were related to Mallacoota itself and the weather.

Comfortable cottage hideaway
Publié le 16 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayEnjoyed the bush outlook & serenity along with comfortable, well-equipped accommodation. Sitting on the deck with birds coming to the birdbath close by was a highlight.
