Beautiful property

Plenty on offer to entertain children from Lego to numerous tv apps as well as inflatables for the pool and bikes.
Craig is a great host. An information booklet and a contact number are provided for any queries during your stay.
We’d love to stay here again.

Lovely villa - perfect for young children

The host kindly set up a very sturdy pool gate which gave us peace of mind throughout our stay.
The villa is well kept and we made use of all the facilities - WiFi, toys, water floats and washing machine.
We will certainly come back again, perhaps not in September as the mozzies were horrendous!

Yes, I'm sorry that you caught a bad time on the island for the mosquitos. This was due to storms that happened during this period. Early September is one of the nicest times to visit the island, with it being a bit quieter but with the water still warm, but the mosquitos can come out then, when even us locals load up with spray around this time

Fantastic pool and location. Great for a peaceful stay / holiday. Such a perfect place to unwind and relax.Craig is a wonderful host, always at hand if you need him and nothing is too much trouble. Definitely recommend this villa. And we will definitely be staying here again. Looking forward to the next one xxx

Wonderful Villa!

Happy times at Papalaya!
Publié le 16 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWhat a great week at this lovely homely and characterful villa. Really well stocked with everything one needed and beautiful art work that pleased us all. The bikes were a real asset when needing to nip to the local supermarket only a short ride away. Craig is an amazing host! All problems/ queries sorted immediately and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. We did hire a car but believe the buses are brilliant and easily accessible.
We all agreed we would love to return!

For anyone reading this who would like to know more about the buses: about 200m from the house there are bus stops on both sides of the road, heading to Puerto Pollensa in one direction, and Pollensa old town and on to Palma in the other. Buses run regularly. You can get information on times here: https://www.tib.org/en/inici

The rooms are very cozy and lovingly furnished, the kitchen has everything you need, the pool is inviting. The location is perfect for both sea and hiking excursions. The care of Craig and his team (before and during your stay) always makes you feel safe and cared for. If Mallorca, then with Craig!!

Majorcan rustic villa

Craig is indeed a great host and the amenities, especially bikes and many added sundries all added to a lovely holiday.
The mosquitoes were unfortunately out in force during our stay ( not Craigs fault) but we felt that the extensive shrubbery around the villa and wet grass from rain and sprinklers didn’t help the situation. We were conscious of bringing dirt in / out of the villa too because of the muddy grass. We tried to solve this by making a door mat! We rarely were able to sit outside to eat which was a shame. . Perhaps a nice patio area could be considered ?? !
In summary, had a lovely holiday and the beach front is a very short bike ride away which was perfect. Thank you

I'm sorry that your stay happened to coincide with a time in which the mosquitos were particularly fervent in the area of Pollensa. As I mentioned, even we, the locals, were being bitten during this warm and wet late September, which never usually happens. The issue appears to be a new strain of tiger mosquitos. Not a concern for health issues, but a nuisance nonetheless. I recommend anyone concerned about this does a google search on the subject, which has been reported in the press, both in Spain and the UK. Yes, it is true that any villa in the area which has a garden rather than stone terracing does consequently make the land more inviting to wildlife, the good and the bad, and this should certainly be considered when choosing a rental villa here. For the benefit of any misunderstanding, this issue was not particular to our villa. We had a similar abundance at our house and I know many other locals who had the same issue.
I'm sorry to hear that you had to create a makeshift door mat. We did have one at the house but this must have been misplaced. Apologies for this oversight, and thank you for letting me know.
Regarding your suggestion on a patio area, thank you for that. We'll look into it this in the winter. We had actually considered doing a small one where the garden table is, just out from the conservatory area.

fabulous villa

The villa is well located for supermarkets etc. Close to both Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa. Craig provides lots of information on the area and Island, the Rough guide and Sunflower serirs books are available as well as useful notes.
