Not quite two bedrooms

My family of five had a wonderful stay in Mammoth. The condo was spotlessly clean and a short 5-7 minute walk to the Canyon Express chair. I would describe the condo as a one bedroom, with a loft and a tiny attic with a single bed. The rooms other than the master are open with little privacy. There is no door between the attic and the loft, and though there is a door to the loft, the loft is fairly open to the living room below. The kitchen is well stocked but smaller than the photos make it appear. The WiFi was spotty when more than two people used it at the same time. There are no carpets/rugs anywhere other than a small entry rug at the front door. The demand that everyone keep all boots (snow and ski) outside the house was slightly unreasonable given that it was snowing and very cold overnight. The list of required tasks, along with how much we would be charged for each one should one not be performed to the host's satisfaction, seemed excessive and inconsiderate. Knowing what we know now, I don't think we would stay here again. I think this place would work for younger couples or short stays, but this was not optimal for a family of five for a week.

As a professional property manager we post clear rules, expectations for departure, and potential fees or fines for ignoring those rules during your stay or after departure. We almost never actually fine anyone, because virtually all guests follow the rules. We donÕt ask for anything too hard: no linen stripping, no cleaning- just a few basics like trash removal, heat settings, run the dish washer, etc.). All guests must sign a contract when booking and these rules and fines must specifically be initialed for approval before completing the booking procedure. These same rules and fines are posted inside the unit to ensure there are no surprises.ÊWe believe posting the rules up front so they are clearly understood to be the best way to meet our dual obligation to our renters, as well as to our homeowners, who expect us to protect their home and investment. Our check out rules have good reasons for them. For example, failure to remove trash after your stay can invite bears to break in, causing thousands of dollars in property damage. Similarly, a vacant unit left unheated can have pipes burst; parking and noise violations can bring police or HOA fines on the property owner, etc. All our rules have similar logic, I don't have enough space here to explain them all, but call if you're concerned. Great Spot Close to the Lifts

Modern, functional layout with views of the mountains through the large windows. Pellet fireplace/stove was a treat during recent snowfall. Would love to stay here again soon!

Convenient condo

The unit was clean, and the remodel was super cute. The floors are heated, which I imagine would be amazing during the winter. It was nice having a garage in close proximity, and the board game closet was lit (literally and figuratively!). I believe all of the beds are memory foam, so they're fairly firm. Decent number of pillows, and blankets. The kitchen is reasonably stocked with utensils/equipment for light vacation meals. The ceiling clearance in the loft is low, and my son bonked his head several times getting out of bed. Otherwise, the only other weirdness was the flat square cereal bowls. Overall, I felt like we got a good price for the amenities and would probably rent it again if we head back to Mammoth.

Mammoth spring break winter wonderland.

This place was terrific. The large glass windows and midcentury styling was cool and sheik. The location and proximity to ski lift and sky car was convenient and wonderful as well!

Awesome place but loft bedroom was noisy

We loved our stay except we didn’t realize 2nd bedroom is a loft, with an additional loft connected. So it was not as private as we hoped but other than that place was awesome!

Great place, questionable charges

The place was amazing but I was charged for a Pet Cleaning fee with out any proof or documentation, after multiple request for it, when I never had a pet anywhere on the property during my stay.

This guest broke a chair and admitted to it. I did not charge for a dog fee but did charge for the broken chair they agreed this damaged.

Beautiful Place, Close to Canyon Lodge

This was a lovely property within walking distance to Canyon Lodge. The only downside was the check out process - it was an excessive list with monetary penalties if we didn't do everything e.g. no evidence of watermarks anywhere. We were wiping down the wood floor at the front door even. That's not fun as a guest. Other than that, I'd absolutely stay here again.

Great condo 5 minute walk to canyon lodge

This condo is in the perfect location. 5 minute walk to canyon lodge and 15 minute walk or shuttle down to the village. House was in great condition and slept 8 of us comfortably. Indoor 2 car garage was also very convenient. We had such a fun trip, will be coming back soon.
