Lovely hotel, great amenities. However very big language barrier which made it difficult to arrange anything during our stay so just something for any English speaking people to keep in mind and be aware of

Quality of the quests

The positive experience we had during our stay here is that the staff were really polite and helpful. Damla, at the lobby is very professional. The other greatness is the hotel being right next to the beach. Also, the pool bar cocktails were really good. We recommend Ms. Sena´s cocktails at the pool bar, she makes them with passion. However, we won´t revisit due to our negative experiences. Firstly, we have encountered sunbed wars every day at the pool even though the staff solved it quickly.. Even we had to confront the pool chef why he removed our towels and toys and gave our seats to another family while we were eating lunch at the snack bar. Secondly, it could have been more charming if the hotel´s beach bag was free for everyone. I purchased it for 10 euros but the hotel does not earn anything from it since they have at least 1500 guests daily. Thirdly, we do not believe this hotel is a 9/10. We have stayed at 3 other hotels this year with similar quality and 2/3 of them reaches a higher quality even though their score were between 7 and 8. Our focus here has to do with the quality of the quests. At Selectum we have seen quests putting their bare feet on the tables at the lobby, wrestling aggressively by the pool and parents blaming the life guard when their kid is at the adult pool without using any form of water safety. The staff cant do anything about these kind of irresponsible behaviour since they get complaints. Be kind and responsible for everyones well-being
