Amazing golf trip!
Publié le 8 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here with 14 adults and everyone had a bed. House is fitted with all your needs. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, pans, bowls, utensils, etc. Check in was amazingly easy and the owner was easy to contact for the one issue we encountered. This would be a great place for families on a ski trip or a group of friends looking for a place up north to hang out.

Perfect for Golf Trips
Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HomeAwayCabin was better than we initially thought. The pictures make the property look tiny. Much more open. Cabin was clean and tidy. Away from other homes so no issue with noise. Cabin is abt 35 minutes from Treetops Golf Resort and 20 minutes to Torch Lake.

Yes the property is a nice open piece of land and the 5 bedroom is situated away from the other two homes. With so many golf course close by it is perfect for a golf outing.

Our family enjoyed our stay!
Publié le 23 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our first time to the area. Everyone liked the cabin. We appreciated the 4 full baths for the 3 families plus teens that stayed. Although we didn’t get to use it, we liked the option to swim and use their other amenities at the Starlight campground across the street. Lots of parking space, quiet (I was worried the event center and other cabins would make the place loud and busy but that was not a problem at all), nice little fire pit, and clean! Our family would stay again.

July 4th boating vacation

Family Gathering

You can't beat the view.
The locks on the back door are a little precarious and should be fixed.

Overall OK Cabin Experience
Publié le 29 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe rented this cabin for the longer weekend with family and some friends. We wanted to visit Mackinac Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes. This cabin is located about 1 hour 20 minutes from both of those location.
* PROS *
- Nice location. Well secluded from the nearby cabins. Good private space.
- Kitchen with all appliances.
- Game room with Ping pong and foosball table & other board games.
- Fire Pit outside.
- Three storied building including walk out basement that leads to fire pit.
* CONS *
- No soap or shampoo. A big downer. I have been to many VRBO and hotel rooms and all had soaps and shampoo. This one did not have any. Very frustrating experience. It doesn't cost much.
- Not enough Toilet papers. Toilet paper supply was very low. We had to buy some. The host should have them stocked a bit.
- Hardly any extra comforters (I thought there was just one extra). For the size of this cabin, they should have few more, especially they consider a sofa bed for two persons.
- No hair dryers or iron. Bathrooms were just as barebone as it can be.
Overall, it was an OK (decent) experience. There are lot of better options on VRBO for Northern Michigan area. Thanks.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay in Northern Michigan and local to area attractions that you visited.
As for the bathroom toiletries and toilet paper we try and give full discloser in the welcome email sent right after booking that we provide hand soap in the bathrooms but not shower toiletries. I’m sorry if there was an oversight and that information was missed. We also state that toilet paper is supplied at 1 roll per bathroom to get you started but any additional will be at the guest expense. As host we don’t charge additional fees for cleaning the property to keep rates lower for our guest. I do recall that you had a rather large group staying at the cabin that exceeded the amount of beds we have so blankets are available for beds in cabins but not supplied beyond beds in cabin. We appreciate your feedback.

Maple Ridge Cabins 😁

Easy access to the trail system, the house was clean, the hosts were very informative and helpful giving us information for festivals, restaurants and things to do. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Vacation
Publié le 2 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayCabin was not as clean when we arrived as we were asked to have it when we left. There were dirty socks under the downstairs bed, the stove had burned food on it, and there are alive ladybugs and flies inside the cabin and dead ones as well in the light shades.

2-3 days of riding Kalkaska trails, seasonal roads and secondary roads. Beautiful colors. See you next year!
