Avis Lakehouse with Private Deck and Hot Tub

Dear Davin, My husband and I were very sorry that you were not happy with your accommodations. If you have read most of our guest reviews you would see why we were a bit shocked. However, we did answer your complaints with the Health and Safety Dept.at VRBO, Expedia. We listed the complaints you made, some of which were due to work in progress on old structures. They wrote back thanking us for our professional replies to them and wrote that they were completely satisfied. If you want to read this, I am sure VRBO has a copy of it. Your complaint about the spider webs was questionable. We thoroughly remove them [a very timely task] from old rough beams before a guest checks in. The comment about the dishes was also questionable. Prior guests usually wash their dishes, but we do not leave dirty dishes and silverware if they do not. The interior design seems not to be to your liking. Did you look at the photos on the website before you came? They represent the interior and surroundings well. Guests do not usually expect a smooth highway all the way up to the cabins. We keep the gravel road very well maintained. The parking spaces for guests are close to the cabins and there are 2 parking spaces for each guest. The Lakehouse does have air conditioning, but guests do not often use it.. The windows open to the lake and the woods are usually more to their liking. The fans usually move enough air if it is extremely hot. We have large pickup trucks in here quite often. No one has said that their car or truck was scratched. You did not tell us while you were still here that your accommodations were not up to your standard. We would certainly taken care of any lights bulbs which were burned out, washed your dishes again, removed any offending webs or shown you where and how to operate the air conditioner. We live on the property and have our cell phones listed on the cabin directions when you check in. One of us is in the garden area most days or in our house, the Working Studio, or offices on the property. Again, we are still sorry that you were not happy. Peggy Cloy, Owner, Willowtail Springs
