Thunder Lake Cabin
This cabin was exactly what we wanted. Nestled inside the Hiawatha National Forest on the shores of beautiful Thunder Lake! The drive in is gorgeous!! We saw deer, turkeys, a couple rabbits and something we guessed was a weasel. The cabin was so comfortable, furnished with absolutely everything you’d need for a full week of fun! The sheer blackness at night allowed us to actually see and photograph the Milky Way for the first time ever. We also watched a majestic bald eagle grab dinner from the lake right out in front of our cabin, then later we got to photograph it as it flew around the cabin. The week came to an end much to fast. You need to rent this cabin. You will thank us.

Thunder Lake Chill out.
This rusty cabin was very well appointed. If you plan on cooking there are plenty of spices to make any dish. It was very comfortable and I like having the bunk house. The use of all the boats and and fire wood made it very much worth the price. We built fires the last three nights. Oh and wifi work great

Wonderful rental house!
We loved staying at this house right on the water! It’s definitely off the beaten path but a very great place to stay with family and get away from it all. Would highly recommend!

Exactly what we were looking for.
Nice cabins for plenty of people. We have a decent sized family. 2 young kids, 2 teens, 2 adults then my wife’s elderly aunt. Plenty of room. Kids loved the bunks in the smaller cabin. Nice shed to keep stuff dry during rainy weather and plenty of fire wood for cooking meals. Very pleased overall. GPS directions were bad for getting there but a good ol map is the way to go.
