Waters Edge! Value priced Lakefront 2 bedroom cottage just 6 ft from the lake.

Direct lakefront 2 bedroom cottage located just feet from the beautiful 550 acre all sports Round Lake. Perfect for a single family or one couple for family vacation at the lake. Great place to make lifelong memories. Cottage is fully equipped. Cottage is set up for family fun, inside of cottage is fairly basic, yet has everything you need. 2nd bedroom is not 100% private, so cottage is not great for two couples. The 2nd bedroom is separate and remote from the commons area. It sits off the hallway between the kitchen and bathroom, however no door between hall and bedroom, bedroom is also small, yet has 2 twin beds and is great for kids.

Living room has an IKEA futon for additional sleeping. Cottage easily accommodates 4 people, and is fine for 5 people with one person using the futon.

Cottage has a shaded lakeside patio exclusively for the guests that stay here.

This cottage is the downstairs portion of a 2 story duplex. Cottage is 100% private, with private entrances. The lakefront, dock, firepit, and raised paver brick patio are shared by the upstairs of the duplex as well as another 3rd cottage on the same property.

Property has just gone through a major landscaping upgrade, plenty of space to spread out.

Assigned parking for 3 cars plus additional space for guests.

Pontoon boat available for rental. $700/week or $150/day.

Please note that guest needs to supply own bedding (sheets) and towels. The beds do have pillows.

Cottage is down about 15 steps from the parking area. NOT SUITABLE for anyone that has trouble navigating stairs!

Great Lake location!!
We were fortunate that Michigan weather blessed us! Great location but the stairs to lower level are a challenge for elderly (we are 70 and 74). Next time we would go for upper level! Even so, they are pet friendly and we had a small dog so the space was great and gave her freedom contained by steps!! Would definitely recommend!

My stay was absolutely perfect!!! Kimmy and Joe, property caretakers, were incredible and made me feel perfectly at home. The view of the lake was phenomenal and the property had all the amenities you could possibly ask for, 10 out of 10 would recommend and stay again!

Nice for relaxing week!
We wanted a relaxing week away, and we achieved that goal. It was nice to have the mat out in the lake, kayaks, and the pontoon boat to anchor at the sandbar and swim. The owner was very responsive to any questions or anything that we needed. The only thing I will say and this is no fault of anyone’s but we are all over 6‘,2“ tall and the height of ceilings in few spots was low. Nothing impossible to work around but item to consider.

Truly Amazing Experience
The property is clean and beautiful - very private. But as great as the place is - Mike (the property owner) is the best vrbo landlord/vrbo property renter I personally have ever dealt with. He is flexible & great at communicating. If anything is missing - he finds a way to address the request. Mike seems to rent his places as a service to people who want a great experience or to people transitioning for a move (perfect for this VRBO). It’s been a treat working with him when compared to my other rental experiences. The lakefront place is also beautiful. This place is right on the lake - kayaks and water utilities available. It is quiet, spacious, perfect for a single person, small family, a small group of friends or occasional visitors. Short or long term work & I feel lucky that this place was available - posted on VRBO I have booked a lot through other people in the past - I don’t imagine you’ll have a better experience than you would here. The property is as explained if not better. Thanks Mike if you’re seeing this! I give my highest recommendation given the experience I’ve had

It was dirty with a sewage smell
Mike answered all of our questions quickly, and we were feet from a lake. Those were the only 2 positive things about it. I'm not sure why it says Manitou beach because it's technically Round Lake. There was a horrible sewage smell coming from the bathroom, there was tons of hair in the shower drain, there was also soap scum all over the shower, what look like to be spots of blood on theon the bottom of the bathroom cabinet, and spider webs with dead flies caught in it in the window seals of the living room. The picture of the boat shown in the description must have been when he first bought it because there is massive tears and holes all throughout the boat, and there is a huge blood stain on the corner of the boat. It stopped working on us a few times out in the water. We slept in the living room because there wasn't a TV in the bedroom, and when we lifted up the futon there was a dead frog very dried up to where it has been there for a while with a bunch of plastic knives by it. With all of that being said it makes me think that they are not following covid-19 standards, or it would be a little bit cleaner. One other thing that does bother me is on the paperwork on the refrigerator it says September through May you get discounted prices, and I paid full price for it. On our way home I just so happened to look at the rental again for the month of September and it went down $57. It would have really been nice for him to been a honest man and let me know that I would get a discount since it was September. Lesson learned though! I have pictures of everything that I am talking about from the dead frog, to the blood on the walls, to the hair in the drain! Thank God I brought flip flops with me because that is what I wore inside the shower!

Incredible lake view!
The cottage fit the three of us perfectly. We enjoyed the lake with boating, jet skiing, fishing and kayaking. The families in the other units were friendly and we gathered at the camp site nightly. We highly recommend this rental! The house was as described and felt very comfortable and welcoming. We also enjoyed the area a lot between the lake and local restaurants. This is an awesome location. Right on the water and beautifully landscaped property.
I stayed in the lower level of this 2-story, 2-unit home. It is perfect for a couple. The kitchen is small, yet very functional. A very comfortable queen size bed. The view and access to the water can’t be beat. As this is a first floor unit, the ceilings are low. The owner Mike is awesome and responds in a matter of minutes. Will definitely book again!
