A terrible experience at the Viking Jr. Hotel
Room smelled of cigarettes, long black hairs on the bed, furniture strewn around the parking lot and hotel like it was a dump. Pay a few dollars more, and stay somewhere else. Viking Jr. Has lost its way in the hotel business

I showed up to check in, but no one was there. I had to drive to Mankato and rent another hotel room. I would like a refund for my stay and reimbursement for the other hotel I had to book. Will not recommend this to anyone else.

While the linens were clean, the room itself, including the walls, drawers, and carpets, were very dirty. I honestly contemplated sleeping in my vehicle.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The property is older and shows wear and could use updating, but the room was clean. Bed was comfortable but pillows hard. If you are traveling on a budget and just looking for a night or two it is priced right.

I didnt like the bed. It killed my back. Ugh. I mean atleast give 4 pillows if the bed is going to suck that bad. The staff was nice but they said ring the bell at anytime for help and theyd help and that wasnt true. Understandable but inconvenient when u assure me youd help anytime i ring the bell. Other than that it was decent for the price. Also its an old place so it smelled old. It could definitely use an update.

The carpet was dirty as if it had not been vacuumed. Perhaps stuff blew in between the door and the jam where there was a 1/4 inch space. Putting the two pillows into one case might have made one good pillow. The curtains are hung so that the blackouts cannot be closed.

Probably Not Again
The motel is dated and the rooms are small. Beds and furniture was ok though. The main issue is that I think some people are living there. We had people up late talking outside their rooms and then up again early in the morning talking. We didn't get much good sleep.
