We found this place last minute for a fishing tournament. Everyone else was gone for the day and this place came through. Very convenient and comfortable. Perfect place to stay after a long day on the lake. Clean!

The cottage was beautiful. Everything was very clean and orderly. The view of the lake was gorgeous. I loved the fact that it came with pots and pans etc. I was very disappointed to find out that we would be required to provide our own sheets, blankets and towels, or pay $30.00 for them to provide them for the two days. I have honestly never heard of this in my life.

Thank you for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Most cabin rental companies on the lake require a cleaning fee. We offer our guests the option to bring their own linens to avoid a cleaning fee. We hope this clears up any questions you have regarding this issue.

Cute cabin, not too small, very complete, quiet area, lake view, ideal starting point for fishing trips.

Great little place to a point.

Management did go out of their way to make things better in some ways but if anything happens between 8p and 6a then you're on your own. They are our of reach and our hot water quit working. We couldn't take showers and couldn't get any answers. It would have been nice if they discounted one night.

We are sorry to hear that your stay wasn't as you'd have hoped. Unfortunately, we are a small business (me and my 2 sons) and can not afford to hire night staff.
When I received your message regarding the water heater issue early in the morning, you were offered the use of another shower, but you had already left the premises.
Also, you booked a King bed room by mistake, and my sons and I brought you two twin beds so you wouldn't have to sleep with your partner. You requested extra pillows and towels during your stay and you were supplied those in a timely manner.
Giving us a 6 out of 10 for a water heater issue, on the final night of your stay, is misleading to future lodgers. Some things are out of our control and we do everything we can to make our lodgers feel comfortable.

Me and my wife are traveling around the country and I was very interested in the Toledo Bend area because I am an avid fisherman. The cabin at Tale Chasers gave a pretty good view of Toledo Bend. The bed was very comfortable and the surrounding area was very quiet. Something I was looking for. Unfortunately the area around Toledo Bend wasn’t quite what we were looking for. However, should my wife and I decide to go back to the Toledo Bend area, I will definitely make a reservation to stay at the Tale Chaser cabins again. I very much enjoyed the area.
