Working Farmhouse near Manzanola, Colorado

The farmhouse was used for a couple decades to raise 4 kids who helped with the many different types of vegetables and fruits grown on the 200 acre farm. Alfalfa and Corn are mostly grown now. The owners are still taking care of the farmhouse and have made improvements such as an extremely space age modern bathroom and the kitchen is perfect. The other bathroom brings you back in time and works great!
We loved the whole working farm experience which was extremely quite and serene.

Greg, Sally and Zeke were five-star guests! Clean, quiet, communicative, and respectful. Couldn't ask for better guests. We had such a great time hosting you. Everything went smoothly and the place was left in tip-top shape. Would welcome them back anytime!

Outdoor Adventure
Publié le 15 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe farm was just as I remembered growing up. A big adventure for the children we walked, the children rode bikes, played basketball. Enjoyed the cool mornings and evenings we are from Texas so you can understand no humidity. There were a few hot days inside and out. Barbara was a great host was available to answer any questions. We would definitely visit again.

weekend in the country in Rocky Ford

Dennis and his friends were great houseguests. Dennis always answered my texts and emails promptly. They left the home very neat and tidy. I would definitely have Dennis and his buddies back again anytime.:)

Misleading
Publié le 22 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayOverall, the house and property were ok. My main gripe is that the listing states that the house sleeps 8, with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house sleeps 6, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. Our party of 8 were very uncomfortable at night because we had to sleep on the floor and sofa, which is ultimately not what we paid for. For a party of 6, though, this would be great.

Julia, I am so sorry about the mis representation. It has been corrected. At one time, I did have a sofa bed which would have slept two additional guests. I have since replaced that sofa. About the two bathrooms, just an error on my part (chubby fingers?) Again, I apologize and hope you were not inconvenienced. Please accept a free one night stay with minimum two-night stay on your future visit.

Quaint farm house stay

It was quiet, had amazing views of the sunrise and sunset, lots of wildlife to enjoy, filled with a large number of amenities, and close to nearby towns. We will definitely want to stay again. The only item for some guests to be aware of is there is an awesome clawfoot tub - perfect for the house, but for those with some balance or step height issues they would want to have help for stepping in and out.
