Dear guest,We regret The Pearl vibe did not resonate with you ; The house is a collection of items rescued from much older structures; Floors, most doors, chiimney mantels, bath tubs and more are original finds used with the clear intention of achieving the vintage look that you perceived as "run down". The Pearl is conveniently located on a quiet street that offers free parking at all times, near almost anything of importance in town: it takes just 6 minutes by car to get to old town, 7 minutes to La Cañada shopping center and being 800 meters from the beach, one can choose between a 20 minute walk or five minute drive. The 4km to Marbella claim is rather inaccurate when you are in fact in Marbella the whole time. So since there is very little we can do regarding the style and branding of the place we must just accept not everything is for everyone. We are really pleased you did like the personnel and our wonderful breakfast; it tells us our services are going in the right direction.Safe Travels,The Pearl, Marbella
