I stayed two nights while on a business trip. All I needed was a clean place to stay with reliable wifi at a reasonable price. Enter Thunderbird Resort. This place is set in the beautiful Hill Country on the lake where wildflowers are in full display. I set my reservation for late arrival, so getting into my cabin was a breeze as the office left instructions for late arrivals. So far so good. I went back into town to set up for a class that I would be teaching the following morning. Before returning to the resort, I made a quick stop at the grocery store in town. Enter unexpected roommate #1, referred to as ER1.
ER1 was super sweet at first, but could howl like noones' business. ER1 had no respect for boundaries as they just waltzed right into my cabin demanding food. Since ER1 was giving off a Pet Cemetery vibe, I gave into the demands and shared most of my tuna salad from the sandwich I intended for lunch the next day. Once satisfied, ER1 made themselves right at home. Fortunately, I was able to get ER1 outside before turning in for the night.
While ER1 was helping themselves to my lunch, I encounter unexpected roommate #2 (ER2). Fortunately, ER2 was quiet. Like Ninja quiet. The downside, ER2 had a habit of showing up in unexpected areas throughout the cabin to the point where I was walking on eggshells they entirety of my stall.
All in all, it was a clean place with a gorgeous view and reliable internet access.
P.S. will upload photos when I am able to.
