Wonderful stay in the relaxing countryside

What a beautiful farm for a relaxing stay! Brice was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions of places to eat and shop. He had good English language skills and was very helpful in guiding our still-developing French! There are nearby places, even on the farm, to hike on trails and explore the woods. We ate our meals on a table in the backyard watching the sheep grazing around us. All in all, a beautiful place and time! I highly recommend it!

Magical

A cool quant beautifully eclectic and charming old house nestling in the Dordogne countryside. Still and quiet but for the sounds of the woods and the sheep that mill around the farm/chateau where the house rests. Perfect for relaxing and country walks and tasty French food as you are only 5 minutes walk from town. The swimming pool refreshes on the long hot summer days. The hosts are generous and gracious.

French Farm Experience

We were looking for a countryside retreat and this vacation gave us a taste of family farm life. Brice and Helene were warm and generous hosts. Mareuil was walking distance and had more amenities than we were expecting. Brantome is an easy drive and is a beautiful village. We also took day trips to other towns as well as Lascaux. We got up close to sheep and chickens and enjoyed al fresco dining in the converted stable of this generational farm, which provided us with a bit of an immersive experience to French farm life.

Great stay

Fantastic value month-long stay in this converted building on a farm with beautiful surroundings. Brice and Helene were great hosts, very welcoming and friendly. Helene provided us with fresh produce from the vegetable garden. Our young daughter loved being outside, watching the sheep and chickens on the farm. The pool was great. WiFi unfortunately didn't work in our building.

A peaceful place for a family holiday.

Brice and his family made us very welcome and quickly met our needs. They directed us to all the local attractions. The accommodation is a converted barn with lots of old-world charm. It is not plush but, had everything we needed. The location is amazing, in the middle of the lush Dordogne countryside. It is also very close to the small town of Mareuil which has everything that you need and a Chateau to visit, all within walking distance. Montbreton is a very peaceful place and we had a great time there.

Très cher pour cette location

Maison désuète, vaisselle salle, on s’est servi du e seule poêle et 1 casserole , pas beaucoup d’eau chaude, impossible de monter les radiateurs on a eu froid toute la semaine, pas de télé, pas de lave vaisselle, très petite terrasse avec des travaux et un tracto pelle toute la journée vraiment très déçu de cette location

Séjour reposant

Nous étions 2 familles à venir dans cette charmante maison. L'endroit était magnifique et très reposant...La maison, la piscine, un barbecue plus quelques visites des environs, un acceuil de nos hôtes chaleureux, et le séjour etait parfait ! Merci encore, nous recommandons sans modération !

Un très bon moment de détente et de rencontre

Mon mari, mes enfants et moi avons passé un merveilleux séjour au domaine de Montbreton. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié : la grande gentillesse et hospitalité de Brice et Hélène, leurs petits enfants (supers copains pour nos garçons !!) la maison (et notamment le dortoir pour les enfants et la cuisine), les moutons, les poules et surtout... les légumes du potager avec lesquels j'ai pu refaire les plats de mon enfance à ma petite famille. Nous espérons revenir...

Séjour Incroyable

Mémorable séjour avec mon mari et ma fille de 3 ans :) Brice et Hélène sont des hôtes très avenants, gentils et disponible à tout moment. Si vous recherchez du calme avec un paysage magnifique c’est ici! Gros plus avec la piscine qui est sécurisé pour les enfants 👧 et bien sûr les moutons libre qui passe devant nous au petit déjeuner…magique ! Merci encore à eux. On se reverra très bientôt
