Extremely Disappointed

Property was not what we expected. We checked in at unit 7 - Family room and the first thing we walked into was a dead cokoroach in the kitchen which was surrounded by other insects. The Verander area was not swept and it seemed as if our unit was not cleaned for days. The main bathroom shower drain was blocked and it took the maintenance team just over an hour to respond to our query. The reception doesn't answer during office hours and you have to walk across to the next entrance in order to lodge a query. The bath tub in the second bathroom didnt work. The beds are extremely hard and very uncomfortable. The units are so close that it's rather difficult to sleep with the noise levels. It was also stuffy and the ceiling fans don't blow off any cool air. It makes us wonder if the managers check the unit before guests are checked in. Not sure if it was just my unit, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I paid a room rate of R1,400 per night and it definitely was not worth it. Overall, the staff was very friendly upon check in.

Our apartments are fumigated on a regular basis, but unfortunately despite our best efforts, given the resort's location in subtropical KZN, especially at this time of year at the height of summer, the occasional insect will get into an apartment. Your feedback has been forwarded to the relevant personnel. Regards

wonderful staff, walking distance to the beach - forgot my iphone in the room at check out and they notified us to collect - very honest

One night in a timeshare unit

This is a timeshare self-catering property. It had lots of space - including a private patio and barbecue. The kitchen and the utensils provided are basic - but certainly good enough for preparing simple meals. We were here for one night only. All good apart from the noise (loud music) from another unit across the road. The area's OK - but there are better beaches etc. along the south coast close by.
