While i understand there is an off season of margate, I was shocked to learn that the restaurant and bar was not operational, put a hamper on our morning and evening. Secondly the rooms were a bit dusty and so overly hot and being on the road opening the window made the room completely noisy for sleeping or unbearably hot to sleep in. The hotel though did off wonderful views and was in a great walkable area to all of old town Margate.

Great location. Parking is in a public car park around the corner
The property is a bit tired - grubby carpets, dirty window sills, water left in kettle, poor shower facilities
Expensive for a 1 night stay (imo)

Due to varied reviews we were a little nervous when we arrived. The reception and our room were much better than expected. We had a sea view on the top floor and the room was spacious and well decorated. However, the door lock was stiff and difficult to use, the bathroom door did not close properly and the shower was so poor it was unusable which on a hot day was less than ideal. Location was good, a bit of an uphill walk from the station but not too far.

The staff members we met were pleasant and friendly. The bed was super comfy and best pillows ever - however the place wasn’t entirely clean - the toilet sounded like it was flooding and we couldnt close the toilet door to eliminate the noise at trying found out the toilet door handle was hanging off. Told staff but nothing was done about it. Bin in bathroom couldn’t be used so for sanitation we had to use other in room which wasn’t ideal.

My bedding in room 11 was covered in old blood and what looked like urine as there was a yellow stain on it
