This is an old hotel nicely renovated right in downtown Marion. There is a little restaurant attached with good food- no alcohol yet but they said the license is coming soon. I didn't notice any noise but it didn't seem very busy. Comfy bed and everything very clean. We enjoyed sitting on a cement balcony overlooking the Main Street. The only negative is a blowing heating unit which can't be controlled in the room- need to ask the front desk to change the heat. Would stay here again.

Hello Vicki, Thank you for your review. The balcony is one of my favorite places also. You can also adjust the temperature 5 degrees up or down, anymore the front desk can adjust for you.

My only two complaints about your beautiful hotel are,
1. You did not serve any proteins for breakfast (only carbs), so I ate breakfast elsewhere.
2. You did not provide any way to charge my cell phone in your room. Modern day power strips for about $10,00 have chargers built in. Would be a nice addition to your hotel.

The hotel has great architecture and the staff is super friendly. It’s clean overall, but my main issue is that the facilities are pretty outdated. I stayed in a room right by the elevator that’s separated by a wooden wall, and it was really noisy. The air conditioner wasn’t working either; I couldn’t control the temperature from the panel in my room and had to ask the front desk to adjust it. Even after they made changes, the temperature still didn’t budge.

This is a beautiful historic hotel that has been remodeled. It’s a very quaint town of Marion Virginia. Beautiful mountains surrounding it and a couple. Nice little restaurants within walking distance. I definitely recommend a stay here.
