Labor Day getaway with family and friends

A lot to love, perhaps not ideal for families planning a longer stay

The location was great, the rooms and beds were comfortable, and the owner and property manager were really responsive and helpful when little things came up. We loved the immediate access to the Iron Ore Trail - don't miss the rope swing into the chilly Chacalay River! I think the house would be perfect for any group for a long weekend. But families should read the listing more closely than I did. The lack of on-site laundry made this a less-than-ideal fit for our family with small children staying for a week, as did the lack of dressers in the upstairs bedrooms and the somewhat under-supplied kitchen. (I can recommend the Loads of Fun laundromat, though!...)

Publié le 5 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family enjoyed the stay at Lakewood Lodge! Laura was very helpful and quick to respond when we had trouble with the keypad. The house was very clean and a great location and beautiful views. I highly recommend, I waited too late to book again for my sons College drop off but I wish I would have. It’s hard to find another place that can compare to Laura’s place in Marquette.

Well appointed cabin for a relaxing escape

Fall getaway

A bottle of wine & chocolate gift from the hosts was a special touch. We loved walking the trail behind the house & having a fire outside.
