Girls Getaway
Publié le 1 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayCollege friends getaway in the mountains! The property was exactly as described. This home was well-stocked with kitchen items and toiletries. The view of the mountains from the family room is fantastic. The property manager was quick with her response when we had a question. We hiked the Appalachian Trail and played pickleball at the courts in the community. Highly recommend this place for any type of group. Thanks!

Perfect Getaway with Stunning Views
Publié le 9 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a fantastic stay at this home! The views were absolutely stunning, and the hot tub was amazing after a day out. The house was clean and really comfortable, felt just like home. It's also really close to the Appalachian Trail, which was a huge bonus. Perfect spot for some much-needed relaxation. Highly recommend!

Great mountain getaway!
Publié le 26 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay here! The area is beautiful and we would love to see it in the snow or with fall leaves. The tip on having 4WD is a good one - you drive around mountains and the driveway is quite a downward slope. We did do okay without 4WD, but only because it was dry weather with no snow!
The only “issue”, which was not a big deal, was that we didn’t receive check-in instructions in the app for some reason so I reached out via text to the person who messaged about our stay asking for guest and vehicle information for the security gate, and was directed to my email. So check your email :)
The house has everything you could need - the split floors provided plenty of space for all to relax or play. The downstairs was a great “man cave” for the guys to watch football and have some drinks. And everyone loved the hot tub! The view cannot be beat, especially the view of the mountains from the 2nd floor balcony while lounging on the comfortable patio furniture and staying warm with the gas fire pit.
Other thoughtful details we enjoyed were the bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from The Biltmore, the heated toilet seat/bidet in the master suite, the stand alone bath tub, the array of drink ware for any beverage you may want, and serve ware / dishes for a nice family dinner away from home. There is also a Bluetooth/WiFi enabled printer available.
We would stay again on our next trip to the Asheville area!

The mountains were calling
Publié le 18 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe decided to get away for a long weekend and we weren’t disappointed with Wolf Retreat.
The views from this house are amazing! The kitchen, and house in general, were well stocked and provided us everything we needed.
We found it really nice to have access to a variety of hikes just a 9 minute drive away and within the Wolf Laurel neighborhood. We also drove 30 minutes away to Rocky Fork State Park- definitely recommend.

Couples Trip
Publié le 20 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayInitially upon entering we were all initially shocked. Our first impression was, this definitely doesn't look like the pictures. The pictures were vibrant and depicted a nice open airy concept. The first level definitely isn't for younger couples. 60+ will appreciate the antique nature of the cabin. The bathrooms seem to be the latest upgrades to the cabin whereas everything else is dated EXCEPT for the basement. We learned on the first day that you must take staggered showers because it's impossible to take multiple or back to back showers. We thought the hot water was out after 3 showers. So plan accordingly if you're planning a day out. Fortunately, we were able to ask about this and got an immediate response and was able to plan for the rest of trip.
The basement was the absolute best spot in the cabin. Add a pool table and everything at the top wouldn't even matter 😁
We also arrived a little early and the contact was more than happy to check on the status of the cabin. It was ready and we were able to check-in early which was definitely a bonuse after a 8 hours ride.
