Company Sales Meeting

The game room was a great pace to unwind after our sales meeting. Highly recommend this place. The owners were also very quick to respond to questions and very pleasant to work with.

Annual Family Vacation
Publié le 22 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWhat a beautiful home and property! The home is very spacious and beautifully furnished (and complete with toys and many games!). The pool and hot tub allowed many hours of fun, relaxation and conversation. Everything you need for a weeklong stay was provided (sheets, blankets, pool and bath towels, toilet paper, paper towels and even coffee filters!) Best of all, the owners were very responsive to questions!

Wonderful Property!

Kyle went above and beyond to rectify some issues we noticed early in our stay. The kitchen microwave and the game room's space heater were not working. We told him about the problem, and the next day, he came out to replace both with brand-new equipment. You can tell that he is a property owner who cares about the condition of his home and the experience of his guests. I highly recommend staying at this property!

Wedding weekend perfection
Publié le 21 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayOur son was getting married at Airlie in Warrenton and we wanted to stay in a house over the long wedding weekend.
We had a couple in their 70’s, a couple in their 50’s, two couple’s in their 20’s plus a 4 year old and 2 8 month olds.
We needed a place where we could hang out and kids could play while we waited for events to begin each evening. On top of that, out of town family traveling to the wedding needed a place to come and change clothes and let their kids run before the evening wedding. This house was perfect. Wonderfully clean and neat, tastefully and comfortably decorated, and stocked with toys and games for kids of all ages. The plus was a beautiful pool that was heated upon request. The owners have not missed a thing in terms of fitting out the house and kitchen with everything a family needs. Convenient to everything - but still in the country with tons of privacy. No one had a single complaint about this house - and we are a hard bunch to impress!

A wonderful location for rejuvenation

The pool and hot tub were exactly as pictured and just as fun as anticipated. Close to a grocery store, restaurants, and lots of great hiking. Kyle was very communicative, putting us at ease with any hitches we ran into. We may very well be returning.

Graduation getaway

There was plenty of space for the adults to congregate while the kids safely entertained themselves on the premises. We will definitely be booking the property again in the future!

Perfect girls getaway
Publié le 10 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayOur group had a wonderful time staying here. The house and property were beautiful. We were able to take advantage of the spa, pool and games. Kyle and Krystal were responsive before and during our stay.
There was plenty of room for our smaller group we could’ve invited many more. It was the perfect location for exploring local wineries and just a short drive to downtown Marshall which was the cutest little town.
I hope to come back again with my family to enjoy this property and town further.

Dirty house a major problem
Publié le 22 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house itself is great. I hope others have better luck and walk into a clean house rather than a completely dirty one as we did.
The bathroom floors had not been mopped (visible dark dirt spots and dead bugs in the bathroom closet. Bathtubs had not been cleaned. I cleaned them the evening of check in. After scrubbing, tub was full of black dirt. The primary bedroom rug was not vacuumed and full of debris. The freezer and fridge were filthy. Both had visible stains. Especially unpleasant was the meat compartment covered in blood stains. The host was alerted and sent cleaners the next day who remedied aforementioned problems. Later in the stay, we discovered neither oven was clean nor worked well. We also discovered on our last night a stain on the top sheet of our bed down by husband's feet and then noticed a stain on the pillowcase. Never thought to check if the bed linens were clean, because could not imagine they wouldn't be. We had been sleeping on unwashed sheets. Also, a queen top sheet was on the king bed. There was no king sheet available.
The house itself is great. I hope others have better luck and walk into a clean house rather than a completely dirty one as we did.

Thank you. I take all feedback as an opportunity to improve, including the things which are hard to hear or hard to believe. In addition to responding immediately during Amy’s stay, we have done a few things since then: Replaced the oven, stove and dishwasher with brand new Samsung appliances, Purchased more linens so there is never a Queen sheet on a King bed, and Implemented a rigorous room-by-room turnover checklist. Finally, I am considering changes to our calendar to avoid same-day turnovers on Sundays when there is a high risk of being short-staffed. In summary, we have already taken the actionable feedback and acted on it.
After four years of hosting, hundreds of 5-star guest stays, and an overall rating of 4.96, we are still looking for ways to improve for our next guest. This guest’s stay certainly was one I will remember.
