Peaceful weekend retreat
Posted Nov. 6, 2024 on HomeAwayI can’t say enough good things about our stay in the blue door cabin! It was the perfect place to unwind as a family and enjoy nature. I loved how secluded it felt being surrounded by trees! We had a wonderful view of the moon each night and enjoyed the morning light through the beautiful big windows! I felt like it was the perfect location with plenty of places nearby to hike and enjoy the Buffalo River. We liked that it wasn’t too far from town, so we were able to grab lunch and ice cream with our kids one afternoon which they really enjoyed. The cabin was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. Our kids enjoyed the board games and the two sweet pups that visited each day! They spoiled them with treats :) We also enjoyed painting river rocks as a family outside on the back porch one evening. We didn’t get to use the fire pit unfortunately due to a burn ban that was in place which we were super bummed about but that didn’t stop us from having a good time! The ONLY negative thing was the driveway to get up to the cabin was a bit steep which is to be expected but it was very uneven and rocky in places going up so I was a little nervous that we might not make it up but we did! Thank goodness my husband was driving LOL. I would definitely advise to drive a truck or suv. I don’t know if a car could make it! Other than that we had a wonderful time and everything was PERFECT. We hope and plan to be back some day!!

Great little cabin in the woods
Posted Jul. 11, 2024 on HomeAwayWonderful cabin. So cute! Clean, comfortable, close to the Buffalo River (Grinder's Ferry). 7 minute drive to the canoe outfitter. Stocked with nice extras. Good hot water, stocked kitchen, comfortable beds.

Lovely weekend getaway

Cabin interior is cozy and well stocked, with plenty of room with excellent huge glass windows for the sunrise and sunsets to show through.
Loved it.

Great getaway
Posted Aug. 17, 2023 on HomeAwayThis is a great getaway spot- quiet, friendly neighbor dogs, great AC! We had space to leave our ATV trailer while we weren't using it. The owners were quick to answer any questions and offer suggestions! The only thing is the road leading up to the house is "washed away" and would be difficult to drive on if you were not in a SUV or truck.
