Nice weekend retreat
Publié le 5 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayNice place to stay for a quick getaway near the beach. TV is a little challenging as we couldn’t get major networks so we couldnt watch college football on ABC. Unit faces mostly west so if you are there in June- September the ac will probably not keep up especially in the upstairs bedroom.

A lot of homes seem to be older in the area and this one obviously had a fair amount of wear and tear. The house had a lot of “stuff” in it and felt cluttered to us but that is how some people like it. It was clean as long as you didn’t look too close under cabinets and such. The floor was clean. There were not very many towels/washcloths for the number of beds - especially considering the main activity is the beach (lots of showers ). To be fair , the owner did say they would provide more if needed when I asked about it. If your looking for a pristine Vrbo , this may not be it but if your just trying to find a place to stay this is adequate .

Publié le 23 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayInside of condo good, parking 1 inch of water always and walkway underwater (3 inches) (womens shoes). Mosquitoes horrible due to the water in the yard. Pool was nice w/o mosquitoes. Compensation for shoes would be nice!

I’m sorry it rained the night before the last day of your stay. Mosquitos and rain go hand in hand down on the beach but most importantly, the ground is saturated there because one week before you showed up there was a hurricane that went through so it takes water a little bit longer to be reabsorbed by the ground when this occurs. We did text you on two separate occasions to see how your stay was going. You did not respond to either text message.. If there was an issue why didn’t you contact us so we could help you resolve this instead of leaving a bad review? We could have helped you with compensation for the shoes.

Good location, property is low maintained
Publié le 29 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayShort access to the beach. The front door has lots of bird’s poo. Facilities is lowly maintained. Air conditioning could not cool down the upper floor of unit during summer.

Attempts were made to contact you to see how your stay was going. We spoke, at no point and time did you mention there being any problems. I was unaware there was bird poop on deck, you are first renters to mention it. You are aware you rented a condo on the beach and there is wildlife. Air conditioner was just serviced. If there was a problem why didn’t you mention it when we spoke. Online app for nest shows you never bothered to drop a/c below 72 F. Now, when cleaning service entered unit after you checked out there was a strong urine smell in unit and rotting fish odor in fridge. Direct violation of contract you signed. Gave this renter a good rating before I knew what his review was due to him having no problems when we spoke. I try to let little things renters do like this slide. I have good rental history per my previous renters reviews, I myself stayed in unit a few weeks before and there were no issues. I take these matters seriously.

Perfect location for beach vacation

Great coastal getaway
Publié le 17 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had such a great time staying here. We had been traveling throughout Texas and wanted a quiet relaxing place for our last stop. That is exactly what we found.
Our condo was comfortably furnished and had easy access to the beach as well as Matagorda. If you are looking for a lovely place to rest close to the gulf I highly recommend staying here!
