Leave all your worry and stress behind and make The SEAesta Shack your home away from home. This newly updated 3 Bedroom/2 Bath Colorado River Front getaway is packed full of EVERYTHING your family will need to make a lasting memory. Spend your days either at the beach, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, bird watching, dolphin watching or just taking in the stunning South Texas Sunset on any one of the 3 porches. Or, spend your night fishing on our private pier with our bright fishing light.

⭐️BOOKING
Booking guest must be 25 years of age. The booking guest must be a member of the group staying at the property. Booking guest must also be verified through VRBO with a Government Issued ID and provide the owner a front and back copy of state issued drivers license upon request prior to checking in.

⭐️PRIVATE PARKING:
4 Parking spaces in front of the house. DO NOT park under the house, on our neighbors driveway, or the street.

⭐️ENTRY:
The front door is equipped with an electronic keypad, we will send a personalized door code 3 days before your check-in day. Check-in anytime after 4pm. Check-out anytime before 10am. Your door code will be active from the time you check in until the time you check out. Early check-in and late check-out will incur additional fees.

⭐️INTERNET:
We offer satellite internet WIFI. This is the only option in the area and is not as fast as you might be accustomed to at your house. The more devices connected or overcast/rainy weather, the slower it will be. We are aware of how slow it can be at times, and this is completely out of our control.
Smart TV capabilities in every room. Bring your own streaming password.

⭐️BEDROOMS
There are 2 Queen bedrooms which can accommodate up to 4 adults, 2 additional twin bunkbeds with a trundle in the 3rd bedroom for an additional 5 people.

⭐️KITCHEN
Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, pots, pans, cups, plates, utensils, Keurig duo (pot/K cups) coffee maker.

⭐️LAUNDRY
Stackable washer and dryer

⭐️AMENITIES
Our cleaning service provides start-up supplies including: paper towels, dish soap, dish washer soap, kitchen can liners, toilet paper, hand soap and bathroom can liners. Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to purchase additional items when the initial supply runs out.

⭐️TRASH
Please place all trash in trash bags and place in the trash container in below the house.
There is only ONCE A WEEK TRASH PICK UP for the area on Wednesdays. If the cans are full and you have a lot of trash, please drop of your trash at the Matagorda dump on Cemetery Road.

⭐️SECURITY
Ring Doorbell Security Camera at the front entrance.
NO Indoor Cameras

⭐️SMOKING
Absolutely No Smoking inside the house

⭐️FIRES
Absolutely no fires inside or out. Unauthorized fires (including candles) will be charged $100 plus damages

⭐️PETS
NO PETS due to the owners severe allergies. If you sneak in a pet of any kind you will be charged an additional $500 and you will be asked to leave.

⭐️REFUNDS
We do not offer refunds for weather or natural disasters. Please purchase travel insurance.

⭐️CRITTERS
We do have a regularly scheduled pest control service for critters around the house. Please keep in mind we are located near the coast with thousands of varieties of critters. It is impossible and unreasonable to think there will be no critters outside the house. If you leave food out inside the house, the ants will come. Please help us keep the ants away by cleaning up any food and or crumbs.

Great spot near fishing and kayaking!
This spot was close to kayak launching spots and fishing hot spots - which was the primary purpose of our trip. The lit fishing deck was an added bonus! The house was clean and perfect for our family of four. The kitchen was nicely stocked with cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. We had plenty of towels and toiletries for our stay. We would definitely stay again if we find our way back to the area.

Five star stay at Matagorda
We truly enjoyed our stay here at Matagorda. The location was great with a nice dock for fishing. Enjoyed by our whole party. House itself is well laid out and very comfortable. Kitchen is super well-stocked with cooking utensils and cookware (more so than the usual rental) which was appreciated! Overall great stay and hope to stay again soon.

One of the best long weekend get aways!! House was better than expected. Clean, stocked with little touches everywhere. Very inviting and comfortable. Dock was great to fish from. Kids absolutely loved it and did not want to leave. Roomy, just can't say enough! Perfect for our family get away!

Perfect 4th of July weekend!
Everything was perfect! We fished on the dock and saw jellyfish and crabs and all kinds of stuff that had the kids amazed. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. The host checked in and made sure we were happy. The location was PERFECT! Spent two days at the beach and watched fireworks on the 4th. Snappers is a mile away and was lots of fun! We will definitely be back!

Best River house in Matagorda
The house is gorgeous. New amenities, great location. There are chairs for the beach provided, a bbq pit, fully stocked kitchen and great outdoor space for hanging out. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable beds! Kids room slept 5 kids comfortably. We had little kids and they loved the bunk beds. Loved the everything about this house and since this is an annual family trip for us, we definitely plan to book again.

I can’t stop raving about this property!
We absolutely adored this property. The hosts were amazing, the house was immaculate and it was so up-to-date. The hosts have truly thought of EVERYTHING. All the extras make this my absolute FAVORITE rental we’ve been to thus far. The beds were comfy, the shower head had AMAZING pressure. And it’s was so clean!! The electric sofas and the electric fireplace were the cherry on top! Also, the communication with the hosts was superb! Check-in and check-out instructions were fool proof. Can’t wait to book again!!!

Great house on the river
The house was great. Very clean and great location on the river with close proximity to the beach. The owners keep you well informed during the entire stay and are very friendly. The only complaint which is minimal of the property is the single thermostat is located downstairs so the upstairs can get a little stuffy at night for sleeping unless you really crank the AC down.

The house and the weather was just perfect. We stay in Matagorda every year for the last 15 years and this would have to be one of my favorite homes we’ve stayed in. Very clean, very homey and spacious. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Nice house with a good dock for fishing, day or night. A/C works great, beds are nice and firm. House is clean and appliances are quite new. Internet is satellite based and not the best. Driveway slopes down toward the street, so if you bring a boat, bring wheel chocks.

Perfect location for a fishing/beaching combo
Property was immaculate. Communication with owner was regular and easy. Jess made sure to connect with me starting a week or so prior to our trip and daily thereafter. We experienced zero problems with the house the entire week. Specifically, the furniture was comfortable and tastefully done. It was well laid out where the guests not only had plenty of room to sit but also plenty of room to move around. This house is definitely on my "rent again" list. A great experience
