Lovely cottage close to the peak district
Publié le 2 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe cottage is small, but perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is a great starting point for various trips to the surrounding area. We had a great time and would recommend it to everyone!
Just one thing: the last few yards to the cottage are on a rather steep hill (hence "Hillside") and it can be a bit tricky to park your car there. You'll need to ascend the last few yards up to the cottage, but if you're reasonably fit, it shouldn't be a problem.

Great little cottage

Perfect base for couples for exploring the south of the Peak District and about a 10 minute stroll into the village of Wirksworth which has several decent pubs and eateries. We did trips to Matlock Bath, the Heights of Abraham and Chatsworth House all within half an hour of the property. Everything about the cottage was lovely and we even bumped into Tiina who gave us some tips on places to go and kept in touch with us before and during our stay when needed. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing

It truly felt like a home away from away and the views were amazing. Little touches of some milk in the fridge and sugar etc available was great. The owner was also very responsive

Lovely quirky cottage

It’s a steep climb up to the cottage and the stairs are steep too, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues, but otherwise I highly recommend it. I also love that all the cleaning products etc are eco-friendly. I will definitely be back. Thank you Tina.

Lovely little cottage

A Little Gem
Publié le 4 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe had a fabulous stay here and would not hesitate in stopping again. Everything there which you needed. So quiet and peaceful with wonderful views. The host was very helpful and always prompt with her replies. Thank you Tiina for our wonderful stay.

Good location, steep stairs, a lot of steep hills,walks from the door, railway nearby,,Matlock Bath.
