Secluded, Cozy Cottage in the Shenandoah Valley

Escape to our comfortable and well appointed cottage in the mountains. This one bedroom one bath with additional loft is the perfect retreat. The spacious deck is ideal for sipping coffee in the morning, reading and napping in the afternoon and star gazing at night. The property sits on over 90 acres to explore and a hot tub to soak in after. There are beautiful hiking trails a few steps from the cottage and the famous Skyline Drive is just a 20 minute drive away. There are several beautiful wineries a few miles from the cottage. Enjoy the evenings by the fire pit (we have wood available for you). We also have a wood burning fire place for chilly nights and a gas grill for your convenience.
The cottage has free wifi (Starlink!) and a smart TV.
There are 2 towns close by for provisioning, shopping and meals out.
We have a generator that will automatically turn on and power the entire cottage in case there is a power outage.
Peace and quiet with all the comforts of home. Like us, you won’t want to leave.

Please be aware that we do have a security camera located on the upper deck that is pointed at the driveway and one at the entry door.

A Cozy Mountain Getaway – Perfect in Every Way!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at this charming cabin! Nestled in the serene mountains, it’s the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The cabin was cozy and inviting, with a beautiful fireplace that made the evenings so warm and relaxing. We loved soaking in the jacuzzi after a day of exploring the area—it was the perfect touch!The host was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. We were especially delighted by the homemade cookies that greeted us upon departure—such a thoughtful gesture!Everything about this place was fantastic, from the stunning mountain views to the perfect amenities. We can't recommend it enough and can’t wait to return!

It's the perfect cozy place for two for Thanksgiving. The indoor fireplace has plenty of firewood, and the outdoor firepit has a grill plate, perfect for making smores. We started our mornings having coffee in the hot tub. We will stay here again!

Peaceful weekend getaway!
This house is everything and more! The surrounding area is perfect for hiking. The porches and fire pit are perfect for sitting and relaxing. It rained during our stay and I loved sitting on the upper porch watching it. It is absolutely as shown in the listing. I loved all the cute fall touches and I want a shower just like the one here. Woodsy but not secluded
My husband and I stayed for the weekend. While the home is definitely out in the woods, it is not as secluded as we had hoped. There is a large occupied house that looks down on the rental house and hot tub. The ring doorbell can also see the hot tub, and we did not feel like it was private enough for us to use. The house is beautiful and there is plenty of space to wander in the woods.
