I was very disappointed with the communication of the host. I sent a message right after I booked at least two weeks in advance. I had questions about the pet policy but never heard anything back. I received an email with confirmation of the reservation but never received information about check in. I had to reach out to VRBO support after I should have been checking in to get a number to call the host. After checking into the property I was not happy with the amount of spiders and cockroaches in the house. I understand maybe having spiders outside because of all the trees. But there were several inside and cockroaches in the showers. After getting past the bugs there were plumbing issues that we had to work around. Both toilets would not flush if the shower or any other water running and the bowls would fill up. I could understand maybe getting clogged if it was poop but it happened even when just peeing. When the shower was being used the water in the toilet would make bubbling noises. We got the impression that this house may not have be rented for a while and no one checked on it. The house is very modern inside but the plumbing needs to be fixed and sprayed for bugs.
