Perfect Lake House

The location was close to everything. The owner was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this quaint little house. We hope to come back again!

Boat teip
Publié le 19 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe came for our once per year family boating long weekend to a new location..Deep Creek was a hit with all of us, the house location was ideal and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the lake from the house and accessing the boat easily.,we ate out and cooked in the wonderful kitchen., great house and location!

BEST stocked home and Great location
Publié le 24 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThis home is beautiful and honestly one of the best homes I have ever rented. You really don't need to bring any kitchen supplies because they have it all - peeler, mixer, bowls, grater, etc. The location was great, however, you do hear a bit of traffic noise. The upstairs bedroom (or master) had a good mattress and a nice bathroom. Two things I would do is to add curtains to the windows because the green and red lights from the bridge come right in and add a carpet runner on the stairs. The stairs are a little steep and a bit slippery. I slipped and feel down part of the stairs while I was there. Got a bit bruised up but it could have been much worse and I worry for older people. Just be careful and use the railing. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are well-maintained but are a little tight.
Lastly, be aware that there is a security camera outside on the deck. I don't blame the owners at all for having a camera (if I had a beautiful home like theirs, I would have one too), however, I found out while we were there that they actually watch the feed. In my opinion, and it's just my opinion, the camera feed should only be watched if there is an issue or complaint. Neither of which occurred with my rental. Except for used sheets and towels, we left the place as nice as we found it. I even brought a little vacuum from home to help with clean-up.

Thanks for staying and reviewing. Ill explore your suggestions for sure. Please review the rental agreements in the future as it explains that there are actually 2 cameras. Front and back. I actually don’t check cameras to often, but I do check more often when receiving multiple calls about tenant shinanigans like barging in prior to check in time, bringing more guests than the booking lists, and letting a horse of a service dog wander the property unleashed in violation of MD law. I received zero calls regarding tenants this year until this stay! Hahaa

Location location location

The best aspect is the location; it's ~10 minutes to almost all of the activities around Deep Creek, and it has a boat dock if you want to rent a watercraft while you're there. Would definitely recommend it for a family getaway!

Spectacular Deep Creek Lake Home

The kids found a game to play each night. The location allowed for swimming in the lake all day long. This home and location was exactly what we hoped for in our Deep Creek Lake getaway!
