Waterfront Home With Deep Water Dock Near Charleston, S.C.

Come enjoy our gorgeous dock on the Toogoodoo River! Sun yourself on our floating dock or enjoy the cool breezes under the covered portion. Recently renovated home with can’t miss sunset views and coastal theme. 3 bedrooms with a king, queen and triple bunk bed. Note: we are located about 30-45 minutes from downtown Charleston, SC. Near the beautiful sites, but far enough to offer peace and quiet. Not far from Edisto Beach and Kiawah Island. Middleton and Magnolia Plantations are within a 30 minute drive. Sleeps up to 8 with triple bunk and futon. Very quiet and peaceful and a perfect place to see a spectacular sunset!

Birthday weekend getaway!

Weekend retreat
We were looking for a place to take our 2 special needs boys (both in wheelchairs) to enjoy fishing and other outdoor activities while also not being in the publics eye. This was certainly it! We spent alot of our long weekend on the dock fishing, crabbing and shrimping. While we did not catch alot, my spouse and kids had a blast. We caught 1 whiting, 1 stingray and about 20 or so crabs of which about 12-15 were big enough to keep and bring home. We will certainly return again. When i mentioned that we were bringing 2 boys in wheelchairs and no ramp present, we were prepared to bring a ramp with us to get into the house but days before we arrived, they had a small ramp built at the entrance and it was wonderful to have! We also cooked steaks on the brand new grill while there and i don’t know what it is, but home cooked food always tastes better when you are not at home. And YES it did this time as well. I would recommend this home to anyone wanting a peaceful and quiet weekend in the lowcountry and away from the hustle and bustle of alot of Charleston. I am from Charleston and left back in 1997 but do still enjoy returning but try to keep my distance and like to be more of the tourist when i am able to return!

Lowcountry getaway
We really enjoyed this property. It’s quiet and a great place to really disconnect. We traveled as (5) adults and (2) kids. The dock is a slice of paradise. We brought our own canoe and we had no issues getting it into the water with the rising of the lower dock during tides. The porpoises come out every evening and typically right under or around the dock. We caught and ate a ton of crab! Was happy they had a trap but we brought two of our own. We caught and released a bull shark which the kids enjoyed watching. The place is conveniently located to all the hot spots; Charleston, Edisto Beach, Folly Beach, Mt Pleasent. We really enjoyed the local restaurant Pier 162! The hardest part was the bed situation since we did utilize every bed in the house the bunks aren’t the most comfortable for adults but the kids enjoyed. Host was wonderful and easy to communicate with or get ahold of with questions. Would definitely come back to enjoy again.

Quiet getaway
The house was cozy and comfortable. The fishing was shark catching, stingrays, and eels. I would not swim in that water. The dock was relaxing to watch all God's beauty with nature's picturesque views.

We had a lovely time at the beautiful, well appointed home! We loved all the homey and local art and finishes in the home. Kitchen had everything you could want and beds were comfortable. Riverfront Getaway
This is our second time at this property and will not be the last! The house is beautiful and comfortable, even nicer than the pictures. The kitchen had everything we need to prepare our meals. The dock is well-maintained and convenient for kayaking on the peaceful river. Sydney is a wonderful hostess, and she responded quickly to all my questions prior to our stay. Highly recommend this house and location, which is only a 45-minute drive to beautiful downtown Charleston.

Beautiful and comfortable home; enjoyed morning visit from neighbor's chickens; quiet neighborhood; view from dock is absolutely the best, but did find the boardwalk to be a little risky due to no rails and the same for the dock; overall a great house with excellent kitchen supplies and linens available.

We will be back! Excellent stay.
We have rented houses through VRBO for a long time and this is one of the best experiences we have had. We love the house, it is spacious and very comfy. The beds and linens are nice and towels are fluffy. We love that the house and the property is all one level. We needed to have a no stairs for our parents to stay. The dock is the most sturdy dock and walkway I have been on. The long walkway to the dock having no railings was a little intimidating but we got used to it. My husband was able to catch crabs and shrimp right from the dock. Fishing got better towards the end of the week. The tides made for a different view each time we went to the dock. Having the sink and fan and benches on the dock was wonderful. We think we have found our forever home to renting.

Quiet riverfront getaway
The home was very clean and nicely furnished, great for relaxing when not outside.The yard and dock were beautiful, as was the view of the river. It is rather remote, so there are few places to eat nearby and grocery stores are a bit costly and have limited hours. Thankfully, Charleston is not far, offering many options for eating, shopping and sightseeing.

The house and dock were exactly what we were looking for. We are always on the hunt for a nice house with an awesome dock for our 2 boats and we found it. Situated between Charleston and Edisto, it’s perfect for an easy boat trip to either location. We look forward to being back!

Spring Break with the family
We had an amazing vacation here. Everything we needed and more was there for us. Very clean. Super comfortable. Outside space was great for our 3 boys. We fished every day. It's about 10 minutes from grocery store, and other amenities. But we wanted to be away from the hustle. We stocked up with food, and ate out when we went on our adventures. Charleston, Folly Beach, Kiawah Island, family in Beaufort. A little more of a drive, but we don't mind driving. I would absolutely recommend this place. Sydney is a wonderful host!

Quiet getaway
Our family loved our weeklong stay here! We spent a lot of time out on the dock fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. It was very quiet and relaxing. The house was well furnished and fit our family of six very comfortably. Sydney was wonderful to work with and quick to respond to any questions I had. Sibling and Mother Trip
Wow, just absolutely beautiful! We wanted a relaxing weekend and it was just that. Stunning setting, gorgeous weather, and such a lovely home made a memorable weekend. Love the location, just tucked away enough but still able to get to Charleston and beaches with about 30 min drive. Can’t thank the host enough for making checkin simple and providing little things in the home. “ take some, leave some”. Hope to return soon!

Perfect country stay by the river
The house was so charming, we especially loved the wooden room with the perfect view of the dock and water. Plenty of yard games there to use for families, along with board games. Sydney was great and everything was where we could easily find it, so we didn't feel like we needed to ask her for anything our entire stay! Will return!

Pictures of the property are very accurate. House is very updated. Yard is much bigger than expected. A little further from Charleston than what we thought but small town nearby has groceries. It was very quiet & relaxing which is what we were looking for.
