Fitzroy Cool

This is a great new hotel of the ‘cool’ variety. Rooms are very small, but perfectly formed. Everything you need except a Nespresso machine. Very comfy bed. Great water pressure. Fantastic roof terrace. Fantastic lounge/bar/restaurant on the ground floor. Tons of parking in street-art covered car parks across the road, less than 100m away. No tram noise. All that Fitzroy/carlton/Collingwood has to offer pretty walkable. Brunswick St tram to the city.

Love this place. Right in the heart of Fitzroy. So many great food and drink places, plus shops all around the corner. Hotel is super stylish. Everything you need.

Good but could be better

Nice hotel, a couple of things. 1. Service is slow, check in and out takes way longer than it needs to 2. The lift chime noise is unnecessarily loud and can be heard all night in the lifts 3. Lots of bright little appliance lights in the rooms, need to cover them with things, the aircon box is bright neon light that lights up the room. 4. There is not water in the room, they just give you a cup and expect you to fill it with bathroom tap water The hotel is otherwise very nice, close to lots of great bars, restaurants and cafes
