An overnight stay so that I didn’t have to do a return trip on public transport while the trains are disrupted. I met up with friends for lunch then went shopping nearby. It was lovely to be able to relax in my room afterwards.

My room was on Little Collins Street and there was a lot of noise from trucks, rubbish collection and delvereis all through the night. This was not the fault of the hotel - so next time I will ask for a room not on Little Collins Street

We loved our stay at this property, it was within walking distance to all the restaurants, bars and the theatre, even the MCG. It was very convenient. Having arrived later than expected, the staff at checkin were so accommodating and helpful. I would stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights over the weekend. Room was small but clean, couldn't turn the air con down lower than 20oc so toasty overnight for us but was otherwise comfortable. We liked the bar and the happy hour. We wouldn't stay again though after the surprise parking fees. Got told by a rude lady on front desk after we had finalised our checkout that we owed an extra $100 for parking. When we enquired about this as we were not aware, she just said well you should have read our website (we booked through expedia and it had no mention of this anywhere). We were frustrated as we had called the hotel on the way in to ask about parking and were told there was parking available and where to access it. We were specifically told not to use the cheaper parking next door with no mention at all about cost when we called and asked, or when we checked in. If that had been mentioned, we would have made other arrangements. All in all, left us on a sour note at the end of our stay.

Great hotel in the best location
Our second stay in The Victoria Hotel in the most convenient location in Melbourne CBD. Our rooms have been comfortable and clean but unfortunately this stay our rooms had noisy air conditioning motors going all night long which is certainly not ideal. Nevertheless we will stay at this great venue again but will request a quieter room.

Absolutely love this place! We have stayed a few times and I try not to go anywhere else when staying in Melbourne now! It’s beautiful, clean rooms, friendly staff, the bar is good and the restaurant is good too. It’s at an awesome location and walking distance to everything we need/want and the prices are always competitive. Honestly can’t fault at a thing!
