The staff needs to work on not policing people of color, especially women. As a woman of color who travels frequently, I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life. I was constantly harassed and asked for my room number and name anytime I left my room. I felt uncomfortable sharing this information in front of other guests as well since I travel alone. I felt like I was on house arrest and was being stereotyped because I am black woman. I came into town for my birthday and the staff didn't even say happy birthday as I came in with balloons. Instead, I was questioned about where I was staying though I had already been staying there the night before. It was ridiculous how many times I was asked what room I was in or my name. The room was fair though I did have a stink bug creep by the bed during the night. If you're a person of color I would recommend staying in other places where you'll be welcomed.

Won't stay on this side of town ever again
The hotel is in a not so nice part of town. The parking lot is fenced in (assuming for added security), and outside the hotel looks like a third-world country with trash everywhere. I think I could hear everyone in the hotel inside our room, the hotel is loud.

This hotel has recently open (only a few months when we stayed) - the reason why we selected this hotel. Staff really friendly, and helpful. Breakfast has not much option, but considered better than average. Love the gated parking (you need to get the code to enter the gated parking when you check in) - which is quite common in Memphis according to the staff there. There is (plenty) parking in front of the hotel as well when you arrive to park temporarily while you check in. One feedback I gave to the staff was, my child has rash after sleeping on one of the bed (cause he is allergic to dust mite), but we didn't inform the hotel cause its already very late past midnight. However, the staff showed empathy in the morning when we were asked about feedback while checking out. I would suggest to inform them in advance, should any of the person staying has certain allergies. I didn't inform earlier assuming its a new hotel.

The sink knob was broken off and there was a light that feel out the hole in the pool and the electric cord was in the water, very unsafe and very scary and dangerous so we couldn’t enjoy the pool

We were put in a room on the pet floor ( I did not know that until check out) and we did not have a pet. Dogs barking off and on all night and doors slamming going in and out of the building.

We were traveling long distance and needed a place to stay just overnight. The location and premises were very nice. The room was clean however * lighting was very poor in our suite. There was a leak in front wall near air conditioning unit and was puddling. We threw a towel done to absorb that one. Then even with shower head pointed towards middle of tub and shower curtain tucked into tub area the water was more then a little and required another towel. Over all nice place and location.

The hotel itself is not the issue. The area around the hotel is not safe. The hotel has a fence, but someone was about to get through the fence and broke out our car window and stole our car. The fence has a broken area. A security officer should be put into place to secure the property of the guests. The team members were accomodating with police with the camera footage. No other follow up with management was made which is disappointing. They offered a few beverage.
