What used to be the "Ambassador Hotel" is now breathing with new life! This historic property was fully renovated from head to toe (but with much of the original character still intact). The brick exterior and interior walls add a lot of charm to this perfectly located downtown property with parking!
Your apartment is 1 of 10 equipped with its own washer and dryer, a super-comfy queen-sized bed, smart TV, SUPERFAST WIFI, and the convenience of a delicious restaurant right downstairs.

From the historic exposed brick walls to your front door everything has been renovated! Equipped with your own kitchen (and all the cooking essentials incl. salt, pepper, and olive oil) a washer and dryer if you will be staying with us a bit longer, smart TV linked to WIFI. Cozy seating areas, a kitchen table to enjoy a home-cooked meal, a delicious meal from the restaurant downstairs, or use it as a space to get some work. You will feel right at home :)

The Ambassador by Midtown Stays has its own parking lot next to the hotel and every guest gets one dedicated parking space. You can walk to everything downtown Memphis has to offer, including the famous Beal St, The Orpheum Theater, FedEx Forum, Dozens of Restaurants & Bars, and The National Civil Rights Museum.

Your apartment has digital door locks so you can check in on your own! So meeting you there in person won't be necessary but we will be available 24/7 if you need anything at all just send us a quick message!

Your apartment is located right next to everything! Out front of the historic Ambassador hotel, you'll see the trolley passing by on a regular basis on S. Main street where many fantastic dining and entertainment options are located (including "South on Beale" the restaurant on the first floor of your building! No car necessary here (although you will have a dedicated parking place). You can walk across the street and catch some live music or walk a couple of minutes more and find yourself on the famous Beale St!

Hop on the trolley out the front door of your building, rent a bike or scooter from across the street, grab an Uber, or... if you are feeling adventurous, take a seat on one of the horse carriages that pass by regularly! Plenty of transportation options at your fingertips and a short uber ride to the airport (~15 min)

***Other things to note:
We are right above SOB Restaurant and there will be noise that's noticeable during their normal hours of operation of 11am-9pm (10pm on weekends). We feel the convenience and fun nightlife energy just adds to the experience, but if you need more peace and quite...just make sure you reserve a room on the 3rd floor (units 301-305). Refunds will not be given due to noise level in apartment, rent at your own risk...but trust us, you will love it!

**There is NO elevator on the property.

➤ Upon booking, you will receive a rental agreement/check-in form that you are required to sign and return before your arrival

➤ If you are a local resident, you must contact us before booking

➤ Guests acknowledge that they will keep their noise level to a minimum after 10:00 pm; sound will travel through the walls if too loud.

➤ No parties or events allowed

➤ Guest must provide us with a valid ID that matches their credit card information

➤ Guest must provide us with a valid working phone number & guests listed on the reservation must report to us within 2 hours from the time of arrival if anything in regards to cleanliness does not meet their standards so we can help address the situation as soon as possible

➤ NO SMOKING or use of fire permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no "smoking" includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and "use of fire" includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $200 charge per day of reservation if this rule is not followed

➤ There can not be any more than the allowed number of guests in or on the property at any one time, violation could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without a refund

➤ Late check-out fee of $50 (if not authorized) applies for check-outs after 11:00 am. We're sorry we have to charge this but we pay our housekeepers based on the agreed-upon checkout time and if they are unable to clean we still have to pay them

➤ We will place a small deposit hold on your credit card 2 days before your arrival to cover any accidental property damage that may occur and it will be released after your check out. If we fail to capture your security deposit, your reservation will automatically be cancelled

➤ We would like to inform you that a 4% credit card fee will be applied to any cancellations and refunds and we will follow the platform's cancellation policy

➤ Guests who make reservations for over 30 days must sign our standard lease agreement and agree to a background check before check-in (it will be provided before check-in)

➤ As part of our commitment to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for all guests, we require a midterm cleaning for reservations lasting 30 days or longer. The midterm cleaning will take place on the 15th day of your reservation. This cleaning is mandatory and is designed to ensure the continued cleanliness and hygiene of the property

➤ The cleaning fee for the mandatory mid-stay clean will be deducted from your security deposit

➤ No pets allowed

➤ Excessively dirty units will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced with photos

➤ For your security and protection the property is equipped with an exterior camera

➤ Remember to take all your belongings when checking out. Left something? There's a $75 Mailing Fee (not including postage). We aim to return items within 7-10 business days, but please bear with us during busy times. Thanks for understanding!

➤ For security reasons, NO food or package deliveries inside our gated complexes or internal buildings. Please meet them outside the buildings or gates.

➤ If not following any of our rules forces us to refund or discount an upcoming or existing guest you will be liable for the costs

➤ If you were a previous/current guest and did not respect our house rules and our property, we have the right to decline your next reservation. Thank you for understanding

Place was clean and check in was easy. Apartment is located on the third floor and close to restaurants, the Civil Rights museum, Beale Street and other tourist attractions. Trolly runs right in front of the building. As described, apartment does not have an elevator. This place was the best value for the money - especially if you are staying for several days.

Great location and this apartment is fantastic! Love the exposed brick and history of the building. Open concept and layout was perfect. The only things missing were paper towels and a small dresser would have been nice in the bedroom. Overall, you will not be disappointed. Too, the host was quick to respond to any questions we had and provided a list of favorite to do’s during our stay.

We enjoyed staying here. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The communication with the property manager was prompt. We were in walking distance to Beall Street. Graceland was 20 minutes away which was an awesome experience.

Two great nights on South Main St.
The property was very clean with elegantly decorated modern decor, lots of wonderful windows, quiet, and with coffee service. We walked in the area,and had wonderful cocktails in the Peabody Hotel main lobby bar. The weather in Memphis was mild and the AC unit worked great! We ate most meals in The Picaddilly cafeteria in east Memphis. The mattress was super comfy, and the shower/bath tub was pleasant. Excellent choice for a VRBO stay in Memphis! Third floor walkup was not difficult, and automated door security was handy. Parking was convenient and secure. Pleasant and easy walk to overlook the Mississippi River.

Great apartment, excellent location
Very enjoyable stay in this apartment which was in a fantastic location, easy to walk to Beale St and Downtown Memphis. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby but we didn’t have any problem with noise at night. Host company were excellent and responded to any question we had very quickly. I’d definitely stay here again.

Perfect location in Memphis for proximity to all the fun things to do downtown!
The apartment was exactly as described in the listing. We discovered the back stairs for the building, much easier to get in and out that way, so we were ok with the lack of an elevator. We enjoyed our stay and we will rent the space again when next we come to Memphis.

Long weekend getaway
The apartment is great! The location is great! You are within walking distance of many restaurants and Beale Street. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking at this property. It's nice having a dedicated parking spot too. We will definitely stay here again. We also recommend eating at SOB, it was really good.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had an excellent time. The property is bright and cheerful and looks just like the photos. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The parking is super convenient. The location allowed us to walk everywhere...including to Beale Street! We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at SOB on the main floor of the building. There are also many great restaurants in walking distance! A great time and we highly recommend! We hope to come again!

Historic Stay
We really enjoyed the South Main St neighborhood. Great food, fun stores, short walk to the Mississippi and Beale St. The Forum is just a couple blocks away as well as Civil Rights Museum. 12 min drive to Memphis Zoo and Rhodes College which is why we came to Memphis. The condo has historic charm but as a modern space with everything we needed for our downtime from activities. We will definitely be back if we are in Memphis again.

This is a great rental site. We walked to Beale Street, Cotton Museum and the National Civil Rights Museum. If you want you can also hop on the trolley cars going by regularly. There are excellent restaurants in the immediate area. Really handy. The rental is in a great brick building and updated really nice with a comfortable bed, couch and kitchen. Plus a convenient off road parking spot and nice hot shower. We highly recommend this place. We would absolutely stay here again.
