This property was very well located, and although there are now 2 houses adjoing to the west that were not there before, they do not really interfer with the view to the west, At night, one can see the long pier in Progreso. To the east, the view is still completely open, and one can walk in either direction on a lovely wide stretch of beach for a very long way seeing only an occasional person around.
There are tons of shells, and a fascinating low tide sand ripple formation about a K to the east, on a small part of the beach where a point has formed. We photographed this area, and found that the ripple varied quite a bit from day to day, and wished we could have stayed for longer to continue observing this pattern. (We were there for 18 days, and the tides were very high)
The house is well constructed and well kept, and we found the layout very pleasing, with ample kitchen area, and WONDERFUL pots and pans to cook with. Bedding is also ample. House was very clean on arrival, and the kitchen was immaculate; dishware, pots and pans included.
We had a very enjoyable time in our 18 days, with wonderful sunrises and sets, and some great full moon shots with Mars directly below it, and I am sure we will go back if available in future.
The owner Violeta was really great to work with, and it was a pleasure to stay in their beach house.
