Hi Pat, It is correct that there is no dining room table, as our listing indicates. Our home was not built with a dining room, but we do provide a fold out table and chairs and a children’s table that can be easily set up and used if guests prefer. We made a trip up to the house on the day of your check out to check on the dishwasher since you had notified us that you thought something was wrong. It is important to us to make sure everything is in working order for both our family and our guests. It seemed to be working just fine for us. We ran an entire load with no issues, but did mention to the guests checking in that same day that you had reported an issue and told them to be sure to let us know if they had any issues. They said they ran it multiple times during their stay and didn’t have any issues. It is true that the door has to be closed in order for it to start, but a chair has never been needed by us or any of our hundreds of other guests to keep it closed. We apologize for your unique experience with it. If there are unused items or condiments left from previous guests, we have our house cleaner leave them in the refrigerator for future guests to utilize if desired. We regularly check to make sure nothing is out of date and leave things we think our guests may need. This is an intensional amenity that we try to provide, but we do apologize for any confusion. There is a cat litter box in our personal storage that is hidden away from guests. We have a barrier put up in the laundry room to block off the storage area where we store our family’s holiday decor and items that we may need in the future. The litter box is not dirty or even in use, it’s just stored in that location. It is a breeze system so it does not utilize cat litter, but instead utilizes pellets. There is a bag of clean pellets that we have poured in the box, so maybe that caused some confusion. However, our storage area should not be accessed by guests as mentioned in our house rules. We take great pride in ensuring our guests have the best possible experience. It is no accident that we are premier hosts and have a Superhost status on another platform. We regularly utilize our mountain house for our family and it is our favorite place on earth. Our hope when starting our little business was to share the joy that the house brings us with other families. Despite your differing experiences at the house, we hope you enjoyed time with your family in the mountains. We appreciate your feedback.
