Cozy cottage in woods

While the cottage itself is a bit old, it is very nice and exceptionally clean. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and well-prepared for our arrival. The neighborhood is also quite lovely—clean, peaceful, and quiet, making it a great place to relax. I would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a cozy and well-kept stay.

I'm so glad you enjoyed our log cabin in the woods. It's a great place to relax with king beds, big decks, beautiful forest. New luxury vinyl floors. Well equipped kitchen. Big living space, big rooms, beautiful fireplace and close to lakes, rivers, and dodge ridge winter/summer activities.

Need compensation for at least one day per following problems:
Publié le 17 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayKitchen sink drain, dishwasher, garbage disposal problems.Kitchen sink backed up with water/food debris, time to drain (1/2hour or more)Refrigerator, ice cube maker not functioning, Food/Drinks NOT kept cold.
Front Door deadbolt difficult to lock.Location of "good" kitchen knives, hand soap, hard to find.Hot water turned up too high for bathrooms & kitchen.Minimal towels in frequently used downstairs bathroom.Minimal amount of toilet paper for party of six persons, 3 nights.
Upstairs & downstairs Air-conditioning inadequate.Heaters operating in "WINTER" mode. Swamp cooler worked for 1 upstairs bedroom, Noise extremely irritating, several people had difficulty sleeping & left early.2 upstairs bedrooms, so hot they were difficult to inhabit.Air-Condition unit upstairs did NOT appear to be functioning at optimum.
Upstairs toilet flushed 1/2 time, intermittently filling the tank. took the lid off and giggled unit, to get tank to fill. Then flush later. No Air Conditioner downstairs.Air-Conditioning non-existent in the downstairs bedroom.

Hi, I get it there was a heat wave, nothing we could do, everyones cranky etc, we all had to deal with it. But that's not the cabins fault. I didn't hear from you during or after your stay? It's a beautiful cabin in a lovely location. Beautiful decks, wonderful trees, cool breeze in the evening! But I do appreciate the list since it describes exactly the way you left it, a mess!

Getaway with friends

The new reality with post-covid rentals is that there are essentially no condiments outside salt and pepper, so bring your own. The electric stove was problematic as the two burners stopped working while we were cooking. Discovered they were not plugged in all the way and that fixed it. Left only two dishwasher pods, not really enough for a large group staying for 3 nights if they cooked a lot. Rental agreement says 3 cars maximum. If this place had the maximum number of guests, parking limit could be a challenge. FYI, you could easily fit 4 cars in the driveway.
The door leading out from the laundry room looked like it had not been cleaned since last year. Also unsightly piles of debris were left on patio areas.
Good binder with recommendations on dining and activities. Would have liked instructions on how to operate TV/cable.

Hi, It's a great log cabin, very roomy and comfortable. It's a beautiful area and very relaxing drive to Lyons Res, Pinecrest lake and both tuolumne and stanislaus rivers.
I'm glad you called while enjoying your stay, so I could help you with the burners. The cleaning contractors are required to remove the coils on the electric stove tops by unplugging them and reinstalling them after cleaning. The area had experienced a substantial winter storm the day prior to your arrival the wind blasted the trees over all the decks. The crew came by around 2pm before scheduled 4pm arrival to blow off and prepare the deck, screens, windows etc. But you had already checked yourself in early. They moved on to the next cabin. I wish you had let me know it was ok for them to come back by and help you when you called. Thank you for your time. Darlene

Cozy Forest Cabin in a Great Location
Publié le 29 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time at this cozy stay! The cabin comfortably housed 7 adults for our Thanksgiving weekend. The kitchen was well stocked and large enough to support several people preparing a large meal. The wood stove was wonderful and complemented the incredibly cozy atmosphere in the living room. The cabin was a short drive away from some beautiful hikes.

Great for a large family
