Location, location, location! The "GreenGrass Getaway" Unit is a second-floor private apartment in the Belden Getaway House, boasting cheerful decor and updated amenities. Guests will enjoy the comfortable queen bed, outdoor fire pit (shared space), and close by restaurants, parks, and beaches. The kitchen is stocked with all your needs to cook a great meal with family/friends or walk to nearby restaurants/bars to enjoy all that
downtown MC has to offer!
The space
Relax in our charming & cozy apartment close to the beach, hiking trails, breweries, & conveniences like
restaurants & grocery stores. This is a great getaway year-round.

17 mins to cross-country ski trails at the State Park!
2 miles from Lake Michigan to enjoy a day at the beach.
1.4 miles to Outlet Mall and Casino.
3 miles to Mount Baldy & Indiana Dunes National Park to explore 50mi of dunes, beaches, wetlands,
prairies, rivers & forested trails.

A perfect hub for a day trip to Michigan or South Bend!

The upper apartment is an excellent setup for couples and small family trips. It has a beautiful back patio with a fire pit, bench seating, reclining lawn chairs, an umbrella, and a grill. No pets allowed; this is not a pet-friendly
home.

UNIT PERKS:
--This rental includes a kitchen with a fridge/freezer, sink, stovetop, air fryer, microwave, convection oven, blender & coffee maker. Essentials like plates,
cups, cookware, utensils, & paper towels will be provided for your use. Guests can gather around the large peninsula to enjoy each other’s company over a good meal! (Please note that there is not a dishwasher at this property.)
--Along with coffee, creamer, and sweeteners are provided.
--Cooking spray, olive oil, and salt/pepper are provided.
--Board games
--Free public parking surrounds this home. And parking in the rear of the unit
--The bathroom includes a stand-up shower, toilet and sink
--A hairdryer and showering essentials/bath towels are available.

TECHNOLOGY:
--A large, flat-screen smart TV is hooked up in your living area, though we recommend the outdoors over the tube! ;)
--High-speed Wi-Fi is provided.
--A washer/dryer is available for your use.

OUTDOOR SPACE:
--The shared outdoor space in the backyard is accessible by going down the stairs from the back bedroom. Outdoor Edison bulb lights surround a heavy-duty iron table, as well as a firepit with benches (seats 6-8) surrounding it. Roast a s’more and enjoy! Note that this space is shared with guests in
the other unit below the GreenGrass Getaway Unit, so you may see them outside utilizing this area as well.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
We welcome guests of all backgrounds! However, due to prior disrespectful renters and property damage, we will only be accepting booking requests from:
--Virbo are "verified" and who already have positive reviews from other hosts.
--Renters that are above the age of 25.
--Renters who are not bringing pets.
--A maximum of 5 guests per reservation. Extra guests are not allowed. If you have more travelers and would like to rent more than one unit, feel free
to click on our profile to see “The Belden Getaway: ” This will allow you to rent the other private unit within the house at the same time, sleeping up to 9 people total.
-- We value our relationship with our neighbors, so events/gatherings/parties are not to be held by guests. In order to keep the unit in excellent condition for future guests, we are firm on these rules. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

***Note that the neighborhood itself is transitional, and while our guests have never had safety issues while staying with us, the area hosts an eclectic mix of people: both locals and tourists. The police station is less than a mile away, along with many other popular restaurants and attractions. If you have any specific questions or concerns, please feel free to read previous location ratings/reviews from other guests, and/or reach out prior to booking.


***Note that if you are bringing infants/babies, the unit is NOT baby-proofed. (Furniture is not secured to walls, outlet blockers are not included, cabinets/drawers are not locked, etc.) You assume responsibilities for all guests.

***Note that the lower units may be rented out at the same time, (their ceilings are your floor) so there is potential for noise from other guests.

Guest access
--Guests who book will receive detailed check-in instructions and a key code for entry one hour before their scheduled arrival unless an earlier check-in has been approved.
All of this will be communicated through the Vrbo Messenger.
