Mixed Experience with a Stunning View

This holiday home has a million-dollar view that’s truly breathtaking and well worth experiencing. The owners should be congratulated on the beautiful surroundings – the local fauna and flora around the home add a charming, natural feel.
Unfortunately, we encountered some disappointing maintenance issues. The windowsills were mouldy, there were holes in the fly screens, and the sliding door’s fly screen kept coming off. The home was also very dirty when we arrived, and we spent our first day cleaning with limited and broken cleaning supplies. It’s clear the home is in need of a deep clean to match the lovely setting.
Overall, we would recommend the owners consider changing property management to ensure the property receives the care it deserves. With better upkeep, this home could truly be a wonderful getaway spot.

We have been in contact with them and have shared your concerns. We generally have good reviews and don’t think we’ve ever received such a poor rating. Beautiful property with beautiful views!

Great location but cleaning fell short.

However, dishwasher was erratically stacked with very dirty dishes and wine glasses by earlier tenants. So heavy with grime/muck the load did not clean and bad smell. We found it in quite an unpleasant state and had to hand wash the entire load. This should have been properly addressed by your cleaning team.
Also quite thick dust, dead bugs and dirt on ledges, under furniture in all rooms. Main area surfaces (kitchen) were clean. Suggest interim, more thorough clean, being an easy step to make a good place great!
Other than that good location, good view, comfy beds, good tv - thank you. We’d stay again.

We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the house well-resourced. We are so sorry that the dishwasher was still full of dishes from the previous tenant. We will definitely speak to our cleaning team and organise a deep clean. We live in Adelaide and rely on our Property Manager to ensure the house is clean for the next tenant. Family Getaway

Publié le 1 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall stay was pleasant, although tidy the house was NOT clean. For example floors were not vaccumed, mopped & we found hair balls in the bathroom on arrival. Maintenance and repair items previously listed by tenants were outstanding. Overall we felt the house should be presented without these issues, we will not recommend this property.

We are mortified to read this review and we offer our sincere apology. Unfortunately we rely on others to report any maintenance or cleaning issues as we live in Adelaide. I only just found out that the cleaner’s vacuum cleaner broke down and had not finished the job. She returned later but could not get you or your guests to hear her knocking or calling out. She never contacted us to let us know of the situation or I would have rung you to arrange for the cleaner to go back. I rang you today Nicole to explain, offer our apology and refund the cleaning fee. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the house and the views.
