Beautiful, detached villa, recently renovated to a high modern standard in keeping with it's traditional setting with well maintained gardens, terraces and pool and with superb views to the Mediterranean and Africa. Within walking distance of the picturesque Andalusian village of Mijas with it's many charming shops and restaurants and several stunning beaches just a 10 minute drive away. Both Malaga and Marbella are less than 30 minutes drive and if you are a golfer you have a tremendous choice of local courses. Also nearby are several tennis clubs, horse riding facilities and many fabulous mountain walks. It is also the perfect location if you do not wish to use a car as public transport is excellent and close by.

The villa has a poolside BBQ, shaded sunbathing and relaxation areas and plenty of space for al fresco dining. You will be welcomed at the villa by our team who will also be on hand to assist you during your stay. We also do our best to be flexible for check in and out times.

Our villa is the perfect holiday destination whether you wish to relax, explore or do lots of activities - you will love it!

Beau séjour
Charmante villa avec magnifique vue et espaces de terrasse très agréables. La proximité du village blanc pittoresque de Mijas Pueblo ( à 10 minutes de marche) est un atout. Grande quantité de nourriture est fournie avec un frigo bien garni incluant bières et vin, ce qui est un WoW. Nous pourrions suggérer d’ajouter des crochets dans les pièces pour accrocher les serviettes. Excellent contact avec Mauricio et communication facile et rapide. Merci aux hôtes.

One of the best villas we've stayed
Maurice met us at the billa ,nothing was too much trouble for him very helpful when my phone was damaged. Villa was modern and very clean, views were spectacular. Only word of caution to anyone with walking difficulties the 100 metres or so down to main road was very steep, fortunately taxi back from village only around 5 euros. My wife is already asking me to check availability to return.

Another Wonderful Stay
This was our second trip to this beautiful villa and it was just as fabulous as the first time. The location is perfect for walking into the pueblo, the house and gardens are immaculate and the views are stunning. We feel so relaxed and refreshed when we’re there and are about to book our third trip next year! Paul is so helpful, flexible and quick to respond to any questions we may have, as is Maurice during our stays. Hasta la próxima vez!

We wanted a place that was close to the town centre but offered peace and quiet, a view, bright home and a lovely outdoor area to enjoy the spring sun. The Villa was perfect! At this time of year, we had no problem finding a park in town. Very professional and personable management. We would definitely return.

From the moment we booked Paul could not be more helpful. He answered any query we had promptly and nothing seem too much trouble. On arrival we were greeted by the wonderful Maurice. He insured that we immediately felt at home and that we understood where everything we might need was. The Villa itself is stunning, spacious and spotlessly clean. The garden is secluded with breathtaking views and really well thought out in terms of layout. There is a small pool and 5 or 6 different seating areas around the garden that allow you to either follow or shade from the sun throughout the entire day. We were in Spain for a wedding and although the villa only sleep 6, it was absolutely perfect for hosting other guests during the days and evenings. Without question 10/10 and have already booked to go back next year.

Fantastic Villa!
We have just returned home after a fantastic stay in an amazing villa!! ‘La Joya’ just ticked every box. The outside space with spoilt for choice seating areas to the most amazing views! The Villa was exceptionally clean and well equipped and there was nothing that had not been thought about. Maurice was there to greet us at the property and was just a text away if you needed anything. We would have know hesitation in recommending this villa at all to anyone. Will definitely be returning. Amazing!

Amazing villa in a stunning location
We had a family holiday in this stunning villa. The outdoor spaces are incredible and photos do not do it justice. Clean, modern and everything you need for a relaxing family holiday. Paul was on hand to answer any questions before our stay and Maurice was welcoming and so helpful throughout our stay. This is our second holiday in Mijas and we will definitely be back.

Gorgeous villa with a fantastic location
This was our second time of returning, didn’t disappoint fantastic location only a short stroll into Mijas Pueblo to lots of fantastic restaurants our favourites Koco Bistro and Peccanti Di Gola as always. A lovely villa with everything you need at hand, checking in was stress free and straight forward. We would have know hesitation in recommending this villa at all to anyone.

Wonderful villa
Highly recommend this villa, very clean very comfortable and more equipped than most villas! There is everything you need and more. Maurice met us and was really knowledgeable with the area and communication was very good. Yes there is a steep incline to the property but we found it ok after a few deep breaths! You don’t need a car but we hired one and did go to the local Aldi in the car. Mijas is wonderful and very friendly so overall highly recommend and would love to return!

Villa La Joya
This was our second stay at La Joya and it didn’t disappoint! As usual Maurice and his wife made a wonderful job of preparing the villa, very clean and tidy with a well stocked fridge (thank you!) They even managed to accommodate our early arrival which was also very much appreciated. The villa itself is beautiful, a real home from home with everything you need. There are multiple outside spaces to soak up the sun, eat and relax. Very peaceful with beautiful views. Mijas pueblo is just a short walk from the villa and very picturesque with lots of bars and restaurants. The walk back up the hill to the villa is steep and we did cheat and get a taxi a couple of times, €6 but worth it. We would definitely recommend La Joya and hope to be back again sometime. 😎

Fantastic villa, everything you need for your stay, absolutely love Mijas. It was perfect, peaceful, amazing views. Walking distance into town, although if mobility an issue it is on a steep hill. Perfect relaxing holiday
The villa was comfortable and clean and the check in and out faultless. Lovely selection of goodies provided by host - many thanks. The outside terraces provided so many places to soak up the sun, relax and enjoy the spectacular views. The outside dining area was lovely for alfresco lunch and dinner and plenty of chairs and sun beds for us all. The village is a ten minute walk with beautiful views down to the sea. We always took a taxi back (€5) as the hill from the road to the villa was a bit steep for carrying any shopping. Maurice, who welcomed us, was super helpful and pleasant and accommodated our request for slightly early checkin and slightly later checkout, which was a godsend for us. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful villa.

Fabulous Trip
We had a fabulous time at this beautiful property. It looks lovely in the photos but it’s even better in real life. An idyllic courtyard setting with fantastic views to the coast. We loved both inside and out. The extensive welcome pack was much appreciated by us weary travellers! The owner, Paul, was very friendly and prompt at responding to any queries we had, and flexible when we needed a date / time change. Maurice, who looks after the villa for Paul, was also very friendly and helpful and it was nice to meet him and his lovely family too. We’re already looking forward to our next trip to magical Mijas.

Heerlijk verblijf
Prachtig huis, rustig gelegen, net iets buiten Mijas Pueblo. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, zeer schoon. De ontvangst door Maurice was heel aangenaam. Beautiful views and property.
The Property was clean and tidy when we arrived, there was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, also we met Maurice, Stella and their son who were very nice to meet. The bungalow has everything you require for your stay, We were pleased we had hired a car especially to get up the hill to the property, we did walk up it once a day but that was more than enough for us. I was very happy with the communication between the owner Paul and Maurice.

Beautiful property in spectacular setting
This was our second visit to La Joya villa and it was as wonderful as we remembered. It’s in an ideal location within a 10 minute leisurely stroll into Mijas Pueblo. The position on the hill affords incredible views down to the coast and even beyond to Africa. It is certainly a challenging climb if anyone in the party has mobility issues. However, the views definitely make the climb worthwhile for those who can! There are several outdoor spaces: from the poolside loungers and seating area; to the full dining and bbq area for 6 people; to the ‘cocktail’ corner high above the villa; to the two remaining corners for lunch or evening drinks. We travelled as a couple, but could definitely see potential for a larger group to spread out comfortably. Stella and Maurice take meticulous care of the property and offer a friendly, welcoming meet and greet with an outstanding hamper of goodies. Terrific if you arrive late and can’t get to the supermarket until the following day. The villa has a very comfortable layout and is very well equipped - probably the best equipped holiday letting we’ve ever experienced. We could not recommend this place highly enough. Thanks to Paul, Maurice and Stella for their warm welcome and outstanding service from start to finish. Can’t wait for our return!

Wow! So Fabulous!
We have enjoyed our stay at La Joya immensely. The villa is superb - spotlessly clean, spacious, great outdoor spaces, immaculate good sized pool and a very generous welcome pack! Paul was very helpful and quick to respond to any queries before our stay. Maurice welcomed us at the villa, and gave great recommendations for airport transfers and restaurants. He is a star! We walked into Mijas everyday, which is just stunning. I cannot make any recommendations for improvement, as it is 100% perfect. I highly recommend this villa and would love to return. Loved the villa, the views are outstanding as is the accommodation, all 3 bedrooms are of suitable size for a holiday period and the 2 bathrooms, 1 large and 1 small are exactly what you expect in a villa, the kitchen is clean and modern with everything you need, the outside area is the main attraction with seating and shade if required spread around the villa, the pool is large enough to play ball games and swim in, not Olympic size but let’s face it you only go into the pool to cool off and have fun. Maurice provided new cushions for the sun loungers which we really appreciated and he was really helpful on our arrival and during our stay and he was able to answer all our questions, Even though we hired a car we walked into the pueblo most nights, 12 minute walk to the nearest restaurant and another 10 minutes into the centre of town. Just one thing missing was an outside shower to keep the pool clean instead of having to use the internal one but in the grand scheme of things this is pretty low on priorities in a stunning villa. Will definitely book again!

Fantastic Villa
Having had to cancel our bookings in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid we where delighted to eventually spend 9 nights at La Joya. The villa has everything you need and the jewel in the crown is the outside space which is superb and the photos do not due justice .From breakfast in the outdoor dining area ,sun bathing around the pool to late afternoon drinks on the patio the outdoor area was amazing . From the original booking through to check in the communication with the villas owner Paul was excellent and Maurice was brilliant property host and the welcome pack is a lovely touch . Don’t worry if you don’t have a car as the villa is only 7 minutes walk to the edge of the village and you are in the centre in less than 15 minutes .The public transport is excellent with regular buses into Fuengirola and Torremolinos and the fares are so cheap .It was not an issue to our party but I feel it is worth pointing out the last 300 metre walk up to the villa is a steep hill and could be a challenge to some .We would definitely recommend La Joya and we will definitely be looking to book the villa in the near future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
