Poor communication needs improvement
The apartment itself was in a great area and had a charm, although the overall experience could have been much smoother with clearer communication. There was no check-in information provided ahead of time as noted in Expedia, I had to follow up twice with maas specified method of communication.
It would be helpful if the listing clearly stated that there’s no elevator, as accessibility could be a concern for some guests.
One issue that really surprised me was an unannounced knock on my door early in the morning from someone I didn’t know, asking for the city tax. Later, I was asked to send my credit card info over WhatsApp, which I didn’t feel comfortable with—I suggested paying through a secure business link, which I used.
With better check-in instructions, clearer tax payment options for contactless check in/ out, and more respectful communication, this stay could have been a lot more enjoyable.
