Second Annual Gathering
Publié le 11 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is the second year that my gal cousins and I have enjoyed the lodge. This year we had six in our party and everyone has their own bedroom with more to spare.
There's places to gather as well as plenty of space to have alone time if desired. The lodge is immaculate and there's plenty of things to do nearby.

Perfect house by the River
Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was an excellent choice for our trip to Cooperstown for a baseball tournament. It was an easy 15 minute drive to Dreams Park. The house had plenty of room for all 12 of us, including a second cottage for someone needing a little more peace and quiet. The communication from the host was over the top. The "app" they created about the house, its amenities, and the surrounding area was great. I would highly recommend this location for any large family or group that has kids playing at Dreams Park.

Great Stay for Baseball Families going to CASV
Publié le 22 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property was perfect for our 4 families as each family had their own level and bathroom. The main level was great for gathering. The property was beautiful. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and had it docked for our use. The house comes with kayaks, paddle boards, a canoe, and life jackets. We had a great time fishing and doing all these water activities on our free time. The drive to CASV was an easy 15 min drive, and a 20 min drive to Cooperstown. We would definitely recommend this house to other baseball families. The views were breathtaking as well. We had such a memorable stay at POV!

Baseball tournament stay

Perfect Large Cabin on the Lake
Publié le 26 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. Our boys were playing at All-Star Village and we loved the proximity to both CASV and Cooperstown. The house was larger than expected, with more than enough space for kids and parents to enjoy. We spent a lot of time outside and rented a pontoon boat which we took out to enjoy the quiet lake.
Highly recommend this property. We communicated with the property manager, the owner and the maintenance manager. All were very receptive and timely in their responses.

Gal's Gathering
Publié le 15 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy 6 cousins and I do a getaway every year. The Lakefront Lodge was perfect for us. Each person had their own bed which was high on the list of priorities. The lodge is absolutely gorgeous and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of space for us to gather plus plenty of space to be alone if desired. The lodge within 30ish minutes of Cooperstown and several wineries and breweries but not right in the middle of the business which is what we wanted. We are hoping to return again.

Maintenance issues that interfered with our stay
Publié le 3 août 2023 sur HomeAwayBroken Dryer, Broken water Heater, Broken Ice Machine, water issues in guest house, then repair people coming and going and blocking driveway. Maintennace and repairs should be done before or after rental not during, especially at 10k per week. The credit they offered for our inconvenience was insulting.

While we 100% own that there were a few unanticipated issues during your stay, (which is highly unusual for this property), we acted immediately to remedy them. The only way to accomplish this was to send service providers. We are very sorry that they were in your way, however, in our efforts to resolve any issues so that the rest of your stay was not impacted, we did what we believed to be right. Given that most teams spend the bulk of their day at the ball fields, this is typically not intrusive. We were very surprised at your aggression toward us. Things do go wrong on occasion, and we are very clear in our rental agreements (which all of our guests are required to sign), that we are not staffed resorts. This is a rural area, with limited providers for services, so we need to work within the confines of their schedules.
Our turnover days allow for a total of 6 hours to thoroughly clean a property and ready it for our next guests. Considering there are hundreds of rentals that are also turning over and experiencing their own issues, the ability for us to add fixing a hot water heater, and installing a new dryer in that 6 hour window, in addition to cleaning the house, is impossible. And, we are quite sure you would have wanted to enjoy the benefits of hot water during your stay. Your stay was a challenge from the start, and sadly, it was clear that nothing we did was going to be satisfactory.
