Mill Bay stay

Prima huis in prachtige omgeving
Publié le 12 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWij verbleven voor 5 nachten. Het verblijf heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Contact met de host was alleen bij aankomst en verder hoor je ze af en toe lopen.
Heerlijk om in de ochtend te ontbijten op het terras in het zonnetje met mooi uitzicht ( de struiken mogen nog een beetje gesnoeid worden ;-)
En ook fijn om 's avonds gezellig te zitten bij het vuurtje in de tuin. Supermarkt is heel dichtbij.
We hebben prachtige wandelingen gemaakt. Het museum 'Hand of men' is een aanrader op ong 30 min rijden. Bizar grote collectie. Victoria is ook maar ong. 40 min rijden en leuk en mooi om te bekijken.
Heerlijke vakantie gehad!

Pleasant and quiet
Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwaySteps to the beach is a lovely picturesque area to spend a vacation. There was nothing that Shannon forgot to equip us with. It was very quiet and pleasant. The suite was spotless and water pressure was great for showers. Close to any stores you might need. Beautiful place to enjoy morning coffee with a view of the blooming gardens.

Great location for a weekend getaway

Great location, nice ocean view
Publié le 14 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property has easy access to the beach; you can walk to the marina at low tide. The yard and outdoor sitting areas are beautiful. The location is very quiet. We didn’t hear any traffic noise and rarely heard our hosts moving around upstairs. Shannon greeted us upon arrival and we didn’t see her again until our departure (she was available, but we had no concerns and had everything we needed) The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfortable (but the pillows are rather flat)
The only reason I didn’t give this property 5 stars is because we were asked to strip the bed and take out our garbage, compost and recycling before departing which is something we’ve never come across before. Not a huge request, but very unexpected.

Hi Traci,
In an effort to keep the prices down, I don't charge a cleaning fee which many hosts do. The flip side is that I ask that the suite be left tidy with the bed stripped and garbage/recycling taken to the conveniently located bins. There were other "puffier" pillows in the closet with a set of clean pillow cases. I'm very glad you enjoyed the property and location. Isn't Mill Bay lovely! Hopefully you will visit again.

The host was so easy to deal with, and so accommodating - super nice people. The home is in an absolutely beautiful spot, and the location is ideal. Any Brentwood parents, take note, it is a two minute drive to the campus. We wish we had known about this spot eight years ago. The amenities are beyond what we normally expect, including a brand new bbq for the use of guests. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was awesome. There was a coffee maker, with coffee provided, and they even left some REAL CREAM in the fridge - winning! All around top notch experience.

Maybe you found it difficult to navigate the stepping stone pathway? It's best to pick up luggage rather than try and roll it over the lawn and stepping stones, especially if the luggage wheels are smaller. Other than that I don't quite understand your comment that the suite is difficult to get to? To gain entry, you go to the south side of the house, to the backyard, where the door to the suite is located. Not sure what I can do to improve it. Thanks!
