Older House with Charm

Mill City Farmhouse Suited Us Well!

The mud room is great for dog feeding, wiping down, etc.
We walked the neighborhood several times each day and it was a nice town, friendly people, and a terrific place for coffee and breakfast: Rosie's.
The kitchen is very well stocked and has some nice, higher end pots and pans, etc. We lacked for nothing, except rags. I would have liked to have rags, because who doesn't need to wipe stuff up? There we paper towels, so I reluctantly used those.
Jason communicated with us, and he was very friendly and helpful. When we left our home, we still hadn't received an entry code. Jason was able to wrangle it; by the time we arrived at the house, he messaged me with the code.
This house is older, and has tons of personality. We were within reasonable driving distance to visit Silver Falls Park (our purpose), and there are lots of nice touches that we enjoyed: Clean sheets. good mattresses, well stocked home, lots of welcoming touches.

Great Mill City Rental!

Great Detroit Lake Getaway
Publié le 11 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThis place is an experience because the house is old and has such character. Fits two families easily. Everything you need is there. Coffee shop near by is amazing too! Loved the outdoor space. Kids enjoyed basketball and the neighborhood cats.

Where do I even start... NOT A PLACE FOR FAMILY OR WEDDINGS.
Publié le 30 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayEnjoy being spyed on during your stay.. then this is the house for you ring cams arebon and working despite what the cleaners claim.. And do you enjoy not even being 30 minutes post checkout and receive and insurance claim against you for stealing bath products that we were told we could use.. and drinking wine that had a note that told us to have some.. And no contact from the owner prior to filing the claim..
This house was supposed to be filled with wonderful memories because its where I had my wedding but instead the owner made sure to make it a nightmare..
We moved a windchime from the pourch to hang flowers for the wedding like we were told we could do and left it in the living room and thats also on the list of "items we stole".
We also received verbal consent from the cleaners that smoking was okay outside and was even gifted cigars by Mike but now Jason's insurance claim also includes extensive damages due to smoking..
Over all Magen and Mike Provided and clean home but thats the only good thing we had going for us
The deck is so old nails stick out and could seriously injur someone.. and even caught a kids toes.
The upstairs bath/shower has 0 water pressure
The landscaper was a 17 year old child and didn’t finish his work until 7pm after we checked in at 3pm to start preparing for the wedding and he didn’t even complete his job due to how long it took we called it good and did the reat if the work ourselves.

Sadly, this was a poor experience for us both. Ring cameras are motion activated and are noted in the property description. They are there for the safety of the house and guests.
The windchime was destroyed. We found several joints inside the house and several rooms smelled like weed, indicating indoor smoking: a violation of the house rules.
Noise was made well after the city's 10pm quiet hours (also noted in the house rules) and neighbors report seeing party visitors going into the house late at night and staying there. This turns your "visitors" into "guests" which should incur an extra guest fee which you did not book for nor pay. We are lucky the house plumbing was not backed up. You agreed to a portapoty or RV _on site_ for your guests. While you arranged for a neighbor to lend their bathroom, it's unreasonable for a guest to walk around the block and I'm under no dilution to think guests went inside my house instead. I wish you would have upheld your agreement.
Wine was set out in the kitchen for you to enjoy. The storage of wine in the pantry was intended to welcome future guests. Similarly, the supply of baths salts and bath bombs which disappeared during your stay were intended for your stay and future guests' stays. The same goes for the 2 bags of Traeger pellets which were taken: we set them out so guests have easy access to refilling the hopper, not so they can take them home.
To your credit, the young landscaper did not meet either of our expectations, and I'm sorry about that.

Wonderful home that met all our needs!

Great place to stay and meet

Plenty of room
Publié le 22 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayLarge kitchen with plenty of seating around the table and counter area. Lots of rooms to choose from all vary in size and accommodations. Plenty of parking. Very large living room to watch a movie in. Host does respond quickly. A great time by all.
