Luxury Home
Publié le 29 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat golf course house with plenty of amenities. Enjoyed the hiking trail to waterfall and pickle ball courts. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and beds were comfortable with nice linens.
The home felt too warm at times and we wish we had control of adjusting the thermostat. Also, some bathroom doors didn't have functioning locks. Couple bathroom were missing shower mats and hand towels.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend this property.

thanks for the review. Confused by comment on the temperature of the house as each floor has a thermostat that can be adjusted. I will check on the other minor issues and thank you for staying after the storm ! I appreciate the business!

Great family get away-remote location
Publié le 26 août 2024 sur HomeAwayPlenty of space. Felt that could have been a little cleaner given the high-end nature of the home and community. There was some things that should have been addressed prior to the rental: ie. 1. the hole in the deck, 2. the broken pest control box on the deck emitting a constant high pitch, 3. paint over rain intrusion locations. Would have been great to have a few other games such as foosball, etc to augment the pool table. Must be comfortable with a more remote vacation. The community is pretty but there is nothing close by in terms of restaurants, sites, etc..

Thank you for your review and input. I only wish you would have communicated any issues mentioned during your visit so they could have been resolved. Must note that the resort offers tennis, pickleball, horseback riding and hiking trails with waterfalls! Plenty to do. Also card table for games

Strategic Planning Retreat
Publié le 25 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay at Hawk's View. The house is very well appointed with everything a large group would need. Every bedroom having a bathroom was ideal for a professional offsite session. The lower level and the main level each have plenty of seating for group conversations. The community is serene with lovely views. The only downside is that you are a 25-30 minute drive to grocery store or restaurants. We had a catered dinner delivered to the house one night and drove to Lake Lure for dinner on our second night. Other than that, I would highly recommend Hawk's View for your next large family, friends, or corporate gathering.

A little disappointed with the 4 stars as this is a 5 star property and no mention of any issues. The area is rural and it is 15 minutes to grocery store

Perfect for a Family Celebration
Publié le 28 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayHawks View was fabulous! Each family group hadvtheircown area of the house. Liked the factcthere was a full bath for each bedroom. Common area and deck was large enough to accommodate all of us. The house was very clean and well stocked. It was conveniently located. Amenities at the resort made it possible to also do family activities without traveling into nearby towns. Great experience to celebrate my birthday!

Great house for our family memorial trip

We wanted to gather family from around the southeast and this home worked very well. It had a big kitchen and family room, and 3 levels so we could spread out if we wanted to. Every bedroom having its own bathroom was a huge plus. Several of us also paid the $10 resort fee so we could go to the pool and it was beautiful! Everyone was very impressed with the home. Highly recommend.

Our Hawk's View stay
Publié le 5 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis huge home worked well for our Corporate meeting. We had 17 people during the day for all-day meetings and it was comfortable and spacious. Our only complaints were the lack of hot water in the bathrooms in 3 of the bedrooms: 2 on top floor and 1 on lowest level. We don't consider hot water a luxury. And despite host giving us a GPS location, most of our group using GPS were directed down a dead-end road where the GPS then failed. That was frustrating driving between our 2 houses. Host was very responsive. Location was quiet and beautiful. Private bath for each overnight guest was a plus. Seeing deer on the road at night was a plus.

these reviews are always difficult to respond too as guests made no mention of hot water issue until this review. Specific instructions given to arrive at the property as they obviously did not follow them or would not have ended up where they did. this was a missed communication from guest to guest.
This is a 5 star property! Guest communication to PM and to other guests is required,
Guests are welcome back anytime and hopefully they will communicate any issues as the hot water issue was easy to resolve

Fantastic location for a family celebration
Publié le 29 juin 2023 sur HomeAway13 members (3 generations) of our family all met up at this amazing house to celebrate mom's 80th birthday, and it was a perfect setting. The house is extremely well laid out to allow for those that preferred to stay up late not bother those that wanted to sleep early. 4 chefs in the family made great use of the kitchen, which is well stocked with equipment and had a little pantry for things like seasonings and tea, a great surprise.
The house is so quiet and secluded, it made for wonderful times sitting on the decks talking or reading - and our two little Silky Terrier pups loved the area.
It is fairly removed from things off property, which for us was exactly what we wanted, but it's something to be aware of - as is the fact that there is no cell service nearby (the wifi worked perfectly for calls though!) - just be aware so that you get your GPS working while you still have signal. =)
We loved our time here, and would easily rebook this property for a future family reunion!
