Great Stay!

Cute, clean, fun... but a little more readiness for guests would go a long way.
Publié le 17 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe came for the Luke Bryan concert and stayed 3 nights and had a great time. The house is close to a marina and a few stores including a cute coffee shop and Mexican restaurant. We drove a little further and also checked out Pappa Boos and enjoyed dinner on the water. All in all we had a great time.
The pros- cute, clean, updated. Owner was quick to communicate and available when needed.
The cons- The house itself is fine aside from the awkwardly placed island that blocks access to the fridge. This is honestly the biggest reason we wouldn't stay again. The layout is awful and makes it hard to get food in and out. I've never seen anything like it.
The front door lock is broken so when we arrived we couldn't get in and had to contact the owner to get a lockbox code to go in through a side door where a key was left.
We were told the hot tub was sanitized and heated to 104 and ready to go. Our first night there we got dressed and went to get in and found it to be off and ice cold. We had to reset the power to get it to come back on and it took until the next afternoon to get hot. By then we were leaving for the concert and didn't use it, so the first 2 of 3 days this amenity was essentially unavailable. The owner did offer to let us walk down the street to another one of her rentals to use the hot tub, but we passed due to the inconvenience.
The shower rod fell on my sister's head when she went to take a shower and is very touchy, so be careful opening the curtain lol.

We appreciate the feedback and are always looking to improve. We’ve done our best with the layout and the size of the home while accounting for a door and window that limit fridge placement. The hot tub breaker had been popped by a storm before your arrival and I was able to walk you through resetting it the first night (and offered the hot tub a few doors down that was vacant). The hot tub was ready to use the next morning, as it only takes 6-8 hours to reheat. We will certainly adjust the tension on the shower rod, and as I explained a few times over the phone, the door lock is not broken; however it is electronic and you do have to wait until the lock fully retracts before attempting to force the door open. We do keep a spare key at the house for emergencies and/or lock problems so guests can easily continue on their stay in the event of an issue with the lock- however cleaning verified after you departed the deadbolt is fully operational with no issues. Coming out of busy season it’s not uncommon for the house to be vacant several days between guests and the last time it was cleaned, we will start being more diligent on checking on the hot tub before check-in, especially after storms.

Nice Little House, But…
Publié le 5 août 2023 sur HomeAwayNice little house in a very friendly neighborhood. Love seat, sofa and living room rug are filthy. Someone else’s food was in the fridge when we arrived and the bowls, frying pain and flat ware were not clean.

Thanks so much for staying with us and the feedback! We’ve talked with the cleaner (who was relatively new) to ensure the fridge is being cleaned out between stays and scheduled our professional carpet cleaner to clean the couches and rug first thing.

Adorable Piggy Palace!
Publié le 19 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had the best time at this cute cottage at Buckeye Lake. You couldn't find a better location, right next to the marina and the ice cream parlor. The décor was fabulous. I loved the piggy theme. It was too hot to use the hot tub, but it was very nice and large enough to fit all of us had we wanted to get in. The neighborhood is friendly and laid back. Lake Life. I would definitely go back there.

Perfect Little House with All we Needed

Wonderful spot to relax and play

It is also nicely located between the Columbus Zoo and The Wilds. Some of the amenities that were enjoyed/appreciated the most included the hot tub, a well stocked kitchen, games, excellent communication, lots of linens, the super cute piggy theme, multiple TVs, comfortable mattresses, and a great welcome package of bathroom supplies. Would highly recommend staying here!
