Cozy cabin near Baxter State PARK
Publié le 1 oct. 2017 sur ExpediaOverall, satisfied. One complain is that even though I reserved through Expedia with credit card information, hotel made me pay trough PayPal, otherwise reservation get cancelled. Hotel wanted to save Expedia fees? It was bit of extra works.

- though nighttime temperatures dropped to 50F - as predicted! - there was no heating that worked in this uninsulated cabin. At temperatures like that a cabin needs a heating that is customer-suitable: one-click (on/off or temperature selection). But this heating was out of order (needs to be checked at this temperatures!) or it had a complex mechanism without any kind of instructions.
- extra blankets were promised (since no duvet) but only one blanket for two beds provided. And then no heating...
- WiFi was incredibly unstable. This isn't free WiFi this is WiFi-free zone!
- this accommodation isn't very expensive but much too expensive for what you get!

Pour : It was quiet
Contre : there are a few things that would make it better...like some painting and cleaning. Just some TLC would help a lot.
Emplacement : We were close to a state park but it was quite a ways to get to a bigger town.
I found these cabins on the internet...they looked so nice and the write up of the place sounded so good. It wasn't anything like it said it was. We did manage to stay the whole week that we had reserved.

Publié le 21 sept. 2017 sur ExpediaWe arrived late after a long drive and cabin was open with the light on. No toilet paper! No soap! The nearest store is 20 miles away. We stayed 2 nights. No housekeeping. Never saw a soul that worked there. I’ll go camping next time.

Good morning! The cabins not only do come with toilet paper but each and every cabin has a new extra roll too - on top of the shelf, in a dresser drawer - some place. Just a little effort to look is all it takes. Got a kick out of your 20 miles to the nearest store - like the rest of your review a truly gross exaggeration - there is a Rite-Aid, Hannoford, and IGA within 3/4 of a mile. As for housekeeping - no magical fairies here to do the work - we live onsite in Cabin 8 and do the housekeeping daily. Now since we live here....and are onsite most of the time.....we certainly see/get to know most of our guests. So ANY problems with ANYTHING just let us know - that is what we are here for!

nothing 5 star here , just you're basic mini cabin, it was clean, staff was friendly , the grounds were nice , fire pit etc .... no complaints
if you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay on the outdoorsy side of things , this is it !!
