The pros for this property are endless! The property and surrounding area are breathtaking. The staff go above and beyond to ensure a happy stay. A breakfast of fruit, fresh juice, coffee, eggs, bread and jam using high quality, local ingredients. We felt safe in Mindo and the property is located in between the town and the excursions. We opted for dinner and a bird watching tour, i highly recommend both!

Absolutely lovely. Owned and operated by a local family. The staff is very kind and helpful. The views of wildlife are exceptional. We were very comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! Note that the road to the hotel is not paved. The local drivers are used to it. If arriving from Quito, get out at the Mindo town square and take a taxi $4-5 to the hotel. People there seem honest and hardworking.

This property is in a nice location, nature's paradise, lots of trees and birds around, I was delighted to see toucans and hummingbirds everyday(stayed for 4 nights) it's safe and quiet, staff is good, breakfast is free and it's quite good, there are also decent lunch and dinner options if u don't want to to go to town. Taxi ride is $4 if u want to go to town and Esther who is the caretaker will call for a taxi for u. She is very helpful with answering ur questions. Overall it's a good place, my only suggestion would be to have screen doors/windows so u can leave glass door/window open for airflow and not have mosquitoes/insects come in.

Horrible service. Do not recommend.

Horrible service. This place costs much more than the other hotels in town. The first night was fine. On the second night, when we came back from town, there was no power. No one informed us. We called the hotel and they said they’re workin it. We didn’t have power all that evening/night and the day after through checkout. After that initial phone call to the hotel, they stopped answering our texts and calls. We didn’t know what was happening. No one checked on us, no one brought us a flashlight. Within 30min our phones shut down cause we couldn’t charge them and we didn’t even have a flashlight in them. Couldn’t use our computers. It was pitch dark. We couldn’t do anything in the room, had to shower in the dark, search for our stuff in the dark. Couldn’t even use the jacuzzi we paid extra for. The most frustrating thing is that no one cared no one checked how we were doing. No one apologized the day after. We couldn’t go to the reception because it was a 10 min walk through complete darkness. We could have paid $100 less and stayed in a a room with light in town. Since then they have been ignoring our calls for refund for that horrible night. One of the worst experiences I had in a vacation. I do not recommend.

The location in the jungle was fabulous for birding.. Loved the Lemon house built right in the jungle with a lots of windows.

The most incredible hotel. The views are amazing. Humming birds and toucans all around the common area lobby. Walking distance to cable car and waterfalls hike. VERY peaceful setting. Breakfast was stellar. Freddy at checkin completely helpful and accommodating. Thank you for making our Mindo experience unforgettable.
