Highly recommend!
Incredible. Such a wonderful place to stay in the Mindo area. Really tucked away in the forest but only a 20-25min walk or $3 cab to the town. We stayed in the upper level of the lodge which was wonderfully positioned to watch the birds. Excellent service really recommend.

5/5 truly a magical place! So many birds around! Lovely rooms as well. You definitely need a car, as walking to the centre of the town takes a bit of time

Nice but not sure it was worth the extra travel
Mindo is beautiful but not easy to get to; it is at least a 2-hour drive from Quito. An Uber ride from Quito will cost at least $50 and once you are in Mindo, there is no Uber service out there so you must rely on local taxis. The lodge owners are friendly and well connected locally should you need assistance with anything (food, tours, taxis, etc). The lodge is beautiful, clean and well-maintained. The owners have a sister business called Sabina Tours which I found to be very pricey. I chose to take advantage of the (free) onsite hiking trails and bird watching from the 3rd floor observation deck. Dinner is family style and an added charge. If you want to bring your own wine to dinner, you will be charged a $12 corkage fee. They are very strict with their policies so don't expect them to meet you halfway on anything. For example, I needed to leave the lodge at 12:30am by taxi to catch a 6:00am international flight out of Quito. I asked if my 3rd night could be pro-rated since I was not staying a full night and would not be enjoying the included breakfast the next morning. I was given the option of paying another $70 to stay until 8:00pm (their "day-use" rate) or I could pay the whole night and stay until the taxi picked me up at 12:30am. I chose the latter so that I wouldn't be sleeping solo in the Quito airport but disappointed that they would not pro-rate my stay.

Beautiful location
Casa Divina is in a great location and is a beautiful accommodation, but a little overpriced for what you get. Two lovely trails behind the lodge are perfect for a morning or early evening walk. The viewing area at the top of the main building is great for early morning birding. The breakfasts were good, but not incredible and the prix fixe dinner overpriced and underwhelming.

luxury at a price
absolutely gorgeous jungle retreat in individual lodges crafted by the owner with guests going barefoot on hardwood floors upon entering any building.hard to find.a long walk to the reception center using a wheelbarrow to cart your luggage.nice breakfast and dinner included.our main complaint is the prices of the excursions which were several times more than the going rate for taxis and certified nature guides with the excuse that the money goes directly to the guides and services.we easily found a great guide(also certified) and taxi in the town, which is quite a trek from the hotel.probably plan on staying in the hotel after dinner which is not hard, since you will be tired from the day's excursion.

Paradise.
Every element of this gorgeous compound is thoughtfully considered. To call these buildings cabins evokes something much too rustic- although they are timber frame constructions they are elegantly crafted by the owner who is a master carpenter. The pictures online don't do justice to these rooms at all- make them look a little like summer camp - but are really spotless and beautifully maintained. Each room has a private balcony and hammock. There's lots to do in Mindo, but my boyfriend and I spent most of our time sitting on our balcony listening to the birds and the occasional rain shower gently tapping on the roof. Paradise.
