This 3-bedroom chalet offers 3 full-size bathrooms, a half bath and room for 8, along with a convenient location about 10 miles (15 min) from downtown Blue Ridge. That means easy access to all the wonderful attractions and splendor of Blue Ridge while enjoying the privacy and seclusion of Mineral Bluff. Located in Mineral Bluff, Chardonnay Chalet is approximately 15 minutes from Blue Ridge. A gravel road leads up to the chalet where your wonderful vacation awaits. Available parking for up to 3 vehicles.

This 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath chalet that sleeps 8 is 2 levels. There are a small set of stairs that lead up to the covered porch. On this level, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with a large island just waiting to be used those large family meals. The open floor plan living area features a couch, 2 chairs, and a TV above the gas fireplace. The room is finished off with a dinning table that can seat 6. Also on this level is the powder room and full washer/dryer.

The master bedroom is right off the main living space and includes a King bed with TV and features an attached bathroom. The bathroom features dual vanities and a gorgeously tiled shower with a rainfall head.

As you descend into the lower level you will enter the game room. Here you will find the wet bar as well as several entertainment items (TV, foosball, arcade, etc.). You will also find a pull out sofa that makes into a Full sized bed. Off the game room you will find two additional bedrooms. The first includes two bunked Twin beds with a TV. The second is a King with a TV. There are two full baths on the lower level. The first features a tub while the other is a full shower enclosure. All tastefully decorated and ready for your enjoyment.

Outside on the main level there is a large deck that offers several seating options, a picnic table, as well as the relaxing wood burning fireplace with TV. Offering beautiful wooded views any time of the year. On the lower level you will find the beautiful hot tub, relaxing daybed swing, and outdoor fire pit to help keep you warm on those cold fall nights.

Long weekend getaway

Such a peaceful, relaxing stay. Views were beautiful. Cabin was nicely decorated and kitchen stocked with everything we needed. We absolutely loved the outdoor fireplace. My only complaint is the cabin was so nice, I didn't get much sightseeing done! We are planning a return trip.

Our Weekend Stay

Everything about our stay was great with the exception of the living furniture that was worn out (very uncomfortable and soiled like a frat house) and all the mattresses were very uncomfortable too. So much so, that you woke up so very sore needing Motrin. Additionally, there was a foul smell coming from the laundry room. We kept the doors ajar so it could air out. The baking sheets and pans were put away very wet and greasy. No extra sheets to place on the couch, you didn’t want to sit on the couch without a barrier. And it was listed as a four bedroom, but it is really a three bedroom with a pull out couch in the basement rec room. Aside from that, the place was remarkably. But I would not recommend because the furniture was that bad. If the furniture gets updated it would be a five star stay.

We enjoyed our time at the Modern Mountain Chalet, our kids loved the foosball table and having their own rooms downstairs. There was a little confusion on the code to get in but the Hosts are very responsive. We hope to make it back to Blue Ridge and will definitely see if the Chalet is available. Thanks!

Great summer getaway

It was a wonderful place for our family to reconnect just after school was out. We enjoyed the out door fireplace. We played games on the outdoor deck. The hot tub and our door swing elevated the relaxing experience.

Lovely home; some furniture needs replacing

Overall we had a nice stay. Communication with hosts was great. The cabin itself was lovely. The furniture in the pics is accurate but years and a lot of renters later, some furniture needs replacing along with the outdoor cushions.

Great mountain getaway!

My family and I had a lovely time staying here. The point of our vacation was to escape daily life, take a break from the world, and relax and just be together. We achieved that here with no problem. We checked out a nearby antique mall one of the days, which was really fun. Another day we took a scenic drive through the mountains and ended up discovering an amazing secluded neighborhood full of huge mansions, so that was a lot of fun to look at as well! I recommend this rental property to anyone looking for a relaxing break from the world.

This was perfect for our weekend getaway. The property was just as described and had everything we needed. This Cabin would be perfect for three couples or families. (Just bring an air mattress for the bunk bedroom). The layout is great.

Rejuvenation Stay

Staying at the Chalet was perfect. It was just what we were looking for. I did have a problem getting up the loose gravel hill. I contacted the host and they so kindly offered to send help. The cell reception was not great so it was a delay in communicating. Nothing major. I called roadside again cellular communications werent great. Luckly a local guy assisted and advised you need to go around 20miles per hour up the loose gravel hill to reach the top. I was a bit nervous as my jeep did slide sort of fishtailed a bit but we made it! Then the code I had didnt work! No problem the host got me in within 5 minutes! Thankful for the wifi password. Lovely home we spent most of our time outside. All the furniture is rather low to ground so if you're tall keep that in mind. The grocery store is about 5 miles away and instacart delivered groceries to the cabin with no issues. Loved the swing and hot tub but i wished they were screened in. We didnt use the outdoor fire pit as we were following all rules but there was other things in it and i didnt want to clean it. We did use the outdoor fireplace but the wood we bought wouldnt burn which was a bummer. The property is close to another cabin but we only had neighbors the last couple of days. I didnt like there werent blinds or curtains to the windows. Love the masterbath shower but the bathmat should be replaced. Asap it looks unclean. While on the swing bed a white possum came my way so hightailed it inside lol. Amazing getaway.

Amazing Property!

The cabin was amazing! It was very upscale and modern. It had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space. The only thing I would change is there is another cabin directly in your backyard so it’s not much privacy, but the views are still stunning. The hot tub, day bed swing, and outside deck area were a plus! Such a nice and relaxing stay!

Nice House - Pros and Cons to Our Stay

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely. The deck with the fireplace sealed the deal for us - it's really the whole reason we initially decided to rent the house, and we ended up spending a lot of our time out there. I can't say enough good things about the hosts' level of communication. They were fantastic - both before and during our stay. Another big plus for us was being able to take our dogs. It seems like a lot of rental houses say they allow dogs, but then you walk into a long list of rules. Here, we walked into big dog beds and dog bowls. We take our dog pretty much everywhere, and I truly felt like the dogs were welcomed here. It was awesome, and very appreciated! The location is great - convenient to downtown Blue Ridge, grocery store, WalMart, etc. I will say that the actual cabin is pretty close to the neighbors. It's not as private/secluded as I might have liked. Not a deal-breaker, but I do wish the write-up would have mentioned that. The write-up lists the house as sleeping 8 people. I think it is probably better suited for a group of 6. We had 7 (4 adults, 3 children) and it was tight. The write-up also mentions that the kitchen is "fully equipped". Understanding that not everyone rents this home to cook Thanksgiving dinner like our group, I would describe it more as "equipped with the basic essentials". We actually made a couple of WalMart runs and ended up gifting the house with a few random things (hand mixer, some bowls, spatulas, wooden spoons). There were a few other “essentials” that the house was missing during our stay. Nothing major – bath mats, blankets – about which I reached out to the owners separately. Again, they were extremely quick to respond – just another testament to their level of communication. Overall, it seems like the owners take a lot of pride in the home, and genuinely want to help make it a nice stay for their renters.

Uncomfortable getaway

My family and I look forward to our fall getaway each year. I saw this property online and fell in love with the outdoor space. Upon reading reviews I felt comfortable making the investment for 4 days three nights. After arriving to the property upon entering it was not at all what I had imagined. The pictures make it look so luxurious. First, they left no welcome package IE: information on things to do places to eat etc... It was dirty from the previous guests, dog hair everywhere, wet stains on the couch, finger prints all over the microwave etc. The master bed was a solid rock!!! The bedding is horrible, one sheet and the extremely thin coverlet. We had to wash the blanket on the couch that smelled like wet dog to sleep with. The furniture in the main living space is horrible like a college dorm room. It is not suitable for families. Two swivel office chairs and a flimsy 2 seater like couch. Did not even go near the hot tub! The owner did apologize stating the previous guests had disrespected thier home. Clearly it was not ready for new guests. Also, the cleaning service had the audacity to leave a tip envelope! We stay in vrbo's all of the time by far this was the worst! The outdoor space was amazing but that's about it. So disappointing! Money NOT well spent! Wish someone wrote an honest review on this property. Also not as secluded as expected.

Great trip!

We traveled for fall break with family. We had never been to the area before and enjoyed it. It was very relaxing and the weather was beautiful. The cabin was clean and owners were very responsive. The only issues that we had (and it’s possible that this was user error) was that it got very cold by the morning on the lower level and we did not see that there was a separate heating unit for the upper and lower levels, so it stayed very cozy upstairs, but got rather chilly downstairs. I sleep well when it’s cold, so it didn’t bother me! Thanks for a great stay!
