Love this place. The warmest welcome from reception the minute you step inside the door. Personally excite yes to our room by the inn keeper on the desk with a nice run down of the place. Dinner was awesome in the wine bar. There are a few options to eat there which I like as it is secluded. Wonderful place. We will be back

The staff were very friendly and helpful. However the property needs updating. It might have been great in 1980, but it looks like it hasn't had any work done since. Breakfast buffet was ok but nothing special.

Catherine, Thank you for your review and feedback. Room 2 that you stayed in is in our newer section and was built in the 2000's. Sorry you didn't care for the decor. As a botique hotel, we are not trying to be like every standard hotel. I'll be sure to pass on your comments to our staff! Thank you and we hope you come see us again!

The noise during the night was bad. Didn’t get much sleep. Unless you’re lucky enough to get people in the rooms next to you that respect rule and common sense

Kristin,I am terribly sorry for the noise disturbance from the room next to you. We generally have couples coming to enjoy a getaway and are very respectful. We hope that you would bring that to the attention of the front desk to change rooms, but did not have any complaints that evening. An Inn That’s Seen Better Days :(
Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HotelsI hate to say this (really) because the staff were so nice and the location in the center of Afton is perfect (if you like quiet and idyllic). But the Afton House Inn is old and is showing the wear and tear. I certainly don’t need the latest and greatest but this Inn has definitely seen better days. Case in point is the massive jacuzzi tub that took up a significant portion of our room. It felt so 1980s when I’m sure the Inn was in its romantic heyday. That said, despite its age, the staff were so truly kind and helpful.

Wish the room had included a small fridge and ice machine on our floor. It’s a long walk to the kitchen for ice from room 6!
