Beautiful hotel and great staff. Although, we were hugely disappointed by the fact that we had booked this hotel weeks in advance for a date night. We were so excited to spend time on the rooftop spa and to use the hot tub, sauna etc. We checked in early and were incredibly disappointed to hear that “it was all sold out” and that they “only sell a limited amount of keys to the rooftop amenities”. NO WHERE on their website or the Travelocity site did it say you had to reserve these spots, let alone ahead of time. So $230 later we have booked a hotel for absolutely no reason, since we could not utilize what they advertised as their selling point. They then told us there was nothing they could do about it because “we booked through a third party site.” The staff did help by comping the parking cost, but we would have never even spent the money on a hotel knowing we could not use the amenities. Per staff they are basically not allowed to state on the website the “terms of use” and that only a limited amount of guests can use this. Absolutely a huge disappointment and false advertising.

Great close hotel to stay at for U of M!

We have stayed here two times now. My son goes to University of Minnesota and this is so close to his dorm we love it. We basically just crossed the bridge and the river, and we are over at Sanford Hall. This hotel has a strange entrance that is hard to find the first time you visit, but once you're there and know how to enter, it is easy! I love the underground parking- in summer it was great when it was so hot out and winter when it was 20 below zero and the heated garage was a lifesaver. The beds are so comfy with cozy sheets and really comfortable pillows. Love that rooms l come with a big area to put your suitcase on and hang clothes . Great refrigerator, love the water and the ice machines on each floor which are so handy. Nice bar downstairs and the restaurant. Chloe had amazing French onion soup and great bartenders. Bonus when it was so cold that you can quickly use the parking garage to get almost all the way to Trader Joe's to pick up some snacks or Starbucks to get a drink without having to walk outside much. Staff was friendly, parking was a life saver when it was -20, love the beds, love the vibe and very clean.
